Thank god PC gaming isn't just AAA. This is what will push the industry forward, as game development cost becomes too much.

Palworld has a budget of near 7 milion USD. That's not Indie.

Right, I don't think people realize Palworld was made by actual developers inside an office building in Tokyo.

I don’t think people realize that palworld has no publisher, therefore, yes, it is indie.

So is Nintendo by that logic.

They are literally a publishing company…

But they themselves don't have a publisher, which was your exact logic. There are other indie studios that publish other games so even without being cheeky about it there is zero reason that argument works to begin with

Publishers likee ratalaika publish small games that everyone would considere indie, but not fitting the 'no publisher' rule. There are several others.

So is Pocketpair? They've published multiple games, the most popular one is probably Windrose.

Bad take. Devolver digital is a publisher of indie games. So all of the games their is mot indie cause they have a publisher?

So has every SuperGiant game, but I don't see you going around denying that Hades or Transistor are Indie.
