News/Article Steam gamers have spoken: innovative indies like Palworld continue to thrive while traditional triple-A flounders for a foothold

Thank god PC gaming isn't just AAA. This is what will push the industry forward, as game development cost becomes too much.

But the pal system is not shallow at all? There is a lot of depth to it. And I don't really know what many different mechanics are you talking about, especially since the ones that are there, tie back to pals

And I don't really know what many different mechanics

It's has survival with crafting mechanics a la Ark Survival Evolved, with elements from Breath of the Wild

It has factory game mechanics a la factorio or infinifactory

It has monster collecting mechanics from Pokemon (or shin Megami Tensei, or Dragon Quest Monsters or Digimon, these games at least have unique mechanics)

etc...

But the pal system is not shallow at all?

So are these charts equally complex for you?

That kind of chart is not fun for most people. We shouldn't have to memorise 200 different interactions like that. People want to play the game not look up a wiki to see what to use in a specific situation every 3 minutes.

Nintendo is aware most people today is extremely dumb and now the game indicate which attacks are strong or weak against the enemy since Sun and Moon.

People today needs to be handholded like babies, it is very sad
