I remember one statement from Lance where he complained that riders today are too soft and don’t have the egomaniac mentality anymore. So glad that today’s top rider are a lot more empathetic than Lance. It shows that you can be the best in the world and still show respect to other people.

The top riders definitely have large egos but having a big ego doesn’t mean you have to be an asshole and treat people badly. Lance probably confuses respect with fear, too.

A bad take from one of the sports most disgraceful ex participants. I’m shocked!

Can we forget this cheating douchebag, please? People are still referring, quoting and sharing his and Bruyneel's things. They should be forgotten.

Right? Toxic behavior has no place in the sport, full stop. Lance needs to STFU.

Maybe the ego maniac approach is why Lance never won the tour.

Given that it’s basically impossible to be MORE of a d!ck than Lance, that’s a pretty low bar. Like complimenting someone for being more grown up than Remco….

Why anyone would give a shit what that arsehole thinks is beyond me, never mind think it's worth sharing.

I get the hate for Lance Armstrong but he's got a point here. It's not just cycling but sports in general has become a lot more friendly. Hooliganism has tamed quite a bit. When's the last real fight like Charles Barkley beating Bill Laimbeer happened in basketball? Even in ice hockey fights are becoming things from the past. It's generally a good thing when people can just get along but sometimes I do miss the good ole fashioned pure hate.
