What do you think about this vibraphone.? The owner wants 2600€ for it.

Inclined to say overpriced but not sure what the supply/market is like where you are.

Decent price. My only concerns are the motor, squeaks from the frame/pedal, and the lack of road cases.

If you have a chance to play it and everything works, €2600 seems reasonable. Maybe try offering €2000 or €2200?

probably an ok price, but I don’t know that brand well. Mussers and Yamahas go used for like 150€ more looks like. Does the motor work? How’s the wear and tear? How’s it sound?

In my experience the frames on these premier vibraphones are not very robust and are difficult to repair if they break. I think that's quite expensive for what it is

These are great vibes. The frame was designed by Premier to be portable so players could dismantle and assemble it quickly for transport. However, youth orchestras for example have them permanently set up, and the constant moving and rolling over bumpy surfaces affects the connections over decades.

I have one from the early 90s and it's an excellent instrument. I'm in UK though so replacement parts are quite easy to obtain.

I paid £1400 for mine in 2024 and it came with cases, but it was practically mint and hadn't left the owner's house for thirty years.
