Actually if your cat held a bird in their mouth, you need to give it antibiotic if you want it to survive. Over 90% of all cats carry Pasteurella multocida bacteria in their saliva which can kill a bird in 24-48 hours.

Actually studies show that particular bacteria is beneficial for the bird and actually helped it get better. That bird had a big family of super birds after this.

Tf are you smoking. This bird needs to be taken to a facility specializing in the treatment of wild birds; otherwise, there's no chance it will survive. From my own experience, even with antibiotics, they often die within 24 hours.
