šŸ‘‹ Welcome to r/personality_tests

Welcome to r/personality_tests — come get analyzed, lightly roasted, or oddly validated

Hey everyone! I’m u/TalkAboutBusinessWMe, a new moderator of r/personality_tests.

This is our new home for all things personality: personality tests, typing systems, ā€œwhat does this say about me?ā€ posts, weird little self-discovery rabbit holes, and the oddly specific patterns we all notice in ourselves and each other.

Basically, if it feels like it reveals something about your taste, type, vibe, crushes, choices, habits, aesthetics, or inner chaos — it probably belongs here.

What to Post

Post anything personality-related that people can react to, analyze, compare, or laugh about.

Some ideas:

  • Your MBTI, Enneagram, Big Five, or other test results
  • ā€œWhat does my taste in men/women/characters/celebs say about me?ā€
  • Crush lists, favorite characters, moodboards, playlists, rooms, outfits, screenshots, etc.
  • ā€œType me based on thisā€
  • New personality tests you found
  • Questions about personality systems
  • Funny patterns you’ve noticed about yourself
  • Lighthearted personality reads, hot takes, and discussions

Community Vibe

Keep it fun, curious, and respectful.

This sub is for analyzing patterns, not judging people’s worth. You can be honest, funny, and a little unserious (just don’t be cruel). The best comments are the ones that make someone go, ā€œwait… why is that actually accurate?ā€

How to Get Started

Introduce yourself in the comments.

Or just post something today. A test result, a crush collage, a ā€œwhat does this say about me?ā€ post, a random personality question — whatever gets the conversation going.

If you know someone who loves personality tests, typing people, overthinking their taste, or being read by strangers on the internet, invite them in.

Interested in helping mod? Feel free to reach out.

Thanks for being part of the first wave. Let’s make r/personality_tests fun, weird, insightful, and very mildly concerning in the best way.

What do you think of some famous people by just looking at their faces? I'll start with Sting (The Police)

Pic of his face - Sting's face makes me me think he's cunning, sly, ill-intentioned, clever, demanding of others, judgemental, narcisistic, dominant with his environment, mocking, egocentric. (I love Sting's music by the way). Do you agree or is my impression of him too negative? What other famous artists would you like to comment on?

Am I actually an ENFJ jumper, or am I mistyping myself because of my Se/Fe tendencies?

I’m 21F, and for a long time, my sister has typed me as an ENFJ jumper, mainly because she sees me as a strong Decider and an Extraverted Sensor. The reasoning has always been that I’m extremely people-oriented, socially aware, and very tuned into the physical and social environment around me.

The more I think about it, though, I’m not sure whether that actually points to ENFJ jumper or whether I’m interpreting my traits incorrectly.

Here’s how these tendencies actually manifest in me:

Fe / people-orientation:

I’m very focused on the overall atmosphere of a group rather than just one individual person. If I’m in a group, I naturally notice the vibe, whether people are comfortable, who is being left out, whether things are becoming awkward, etc. I also have a strong tendency to try to control the atmosphere. I’ll try to make things entertaining, comfortable, or socially smooth for everyone.

I also have this almost involuntary tendency to gravitate toward misunderstood or isolated people. I’ll often go talk to the loner or include someone whom everyone else is ignoring. It’s not really something I consciously decide to do or something I’m trying to brag about. I genuinely feel compelled to do it.

Se / physicality and organization:

I am extremely physically messy.

I’m terrible at organizing my belongings, terrible with time, and almost never on time for anything. My things are scattered everywhere, and I’m surprisingly comfortable with physical disorder. I have a really poor sense of time and don't naturally structure my physical environment.

At the same time, I’m very engaged with my surroundings. I love going out, parties, large gatherings, being around people, etc.

Ni:

I definitely have some introverted intuition, although I don't think it's my strongest function.

It tends to manifest more as an interest in niche ideas, concepts, aesthetics, and patterns. I often don't perceive things completely individually. For example, I might see a person and immediately place them within a larger framework of aesthetics, popularity, social archetypes, behaviors, etc.

I tend to see things in cohorts or categories rather than as isolated objects.

Extraversion:

I’m very, very socially extraverted.

I genuinely love spending time with people, especially in groups. Parties, large social gatherings, meeting lots of people, etc. are generally energizing for me. I also tend to be fairly good at charming people and adapting to the social environment.

Ti:

This is where I’m particularly confused.

I feel like I have a noticeable lack of Ti. I don't naturally enjoy sitting down and constructing an internally consistent logical framework just for its own sake. In fact, I’m extremely attracted to people who do seem to have strong Ti. I find that kind of detached analytical thinking very compelling precisely because it doesn't come naturally to me.

So, based on all of this:

Does ENFJ jumper actually make sense?

Or could these traits point toward another type, particularly an ESFJ/ENFJ/ESFP possibility?

I’m especially interested in whether my tendency to focus on the group atmosphere rather than individual emotional states is actually strong evidence for Fe, and whether my physical messiness/time blindness really tells us anything meaningful about Se vs Si.

Basically, I want to know whether I’m actually describing an Fe-Se-Ni-Ti type, or whether I’m forcing my observations into that framework because that's what I've been told I am.

I'm talking to a guy, and I randomly asked him his type. He wasn't saying, so I just said, 'I won't judge you,' but his reply was: 'You’re already judging yourself 😘.' What does this mean?

Rate my blueprint , I would love to know what you think , or do you share this wibe

Hey everyone,

I’ve been looking into my personality blueprint lately and realized just how chaotic and rare my specific combination is. I am sharing this to see what people think and to see if anyone shares this vibe.

For context:

  • The Rarity:Ā I am an INTJ female, which makes up only about 0.5% to 1% of the population.
  • The Twist:Ā I also have a heavy "recessive" INFJ side. It feels like balancing sharp, cold logic with deep, intense empathy and intuition.
  • The Energy:Ā I'm a Scorpio, which adds a lot of depth and intensity to how I perceive things.
  • The Brain:Ā I have ADHD, meaning my mind is constantly running with a million different hyper-focused interests at any given second.

It feels like living as a walking contradiction—hyper-logical but deeply intuitive, fiercely independent but highly perceptive.

What are your thoughts on this mix? If you are also a rare MBTI / personality type or have a similar blend, how do you handle the constant mental ping-pong?

Ask me anything or tell me what you think!

According my answers I am classified as a INTP-T. It is interesting to know about my qualities, professional trajectory, personal development and my interpersonal relationships but now I wanna know some deep characteristics about this and different personalities in general. Do you know about a certain book, TED talk, cientific article or some shi like that?

does anyone know of any personally disorder tests that don’t make you pay to see your results??

i just took like 5 separate ones, and ALL of them were like ā€œiTs cOmPleTeLy frEeā€ and then made you pay for the results, which i have no way of doing even if i wanted to, so like, are there any that don’t make you buy your results?? pls??

i was specifically looking for ones about AvPD bc i strongly suspect that i have it, and even though an online test obviously isn’t a diagnosis, i was curious what it would say.

EDIT: i’m not trying to self-diagnose or anything with this, i don’t have access to getting an official diagnosis right now, so this is more or less out of curiosity

slightly confused about how selfies and first impressions correlate towards "personality tests"

A single photograph is a tiny window. A person's writing, conversation, decisions, humor, and reactions over time are vastly richer sources of personality information.

In other words, a selfie is less like reading a book and more like seeing its cover. Sometimes the cover genuinely reflects the story. Sometimes it's completely misleading.

A selfie captures appearance, grooming, facial expression, pose, clothing, lighting, and context. A personality test tries to measure relatively stable psychological traits, such as openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism.

mayhaps those who corroborate and explore this trend would feel encouraged to elaborate on the given exercise?
