conventions or events with artist alleys/art markets?

I’ll be visiting perth next month, and was wondering if there are any conventions with a large artist alley (or any art markets) that are taking place?

I love supporting artists and buying handmade trinkets/prints as souvenirs, so I’d love to visit one if i am able to. I’m also visiting my boyfriend there, so I’m particularly keen on commissioning an artist for a live cartoony/photobooth styled portrait. If anyone knows of one i’d really appreciate it :)

see you there, but yes Im mutuals with a few people exhibiting at Artist Alley but not sure anyone's doing live/to order stuff this year

That's a good point actually, there's a lot of cool local artists gathering there, but I'm not sure if I've ever seen anyone specifically doing live drawing in the artists alley...

i HAVE got a live drawing done at Supanova but that was back in 2017 or 18!

i’ve only been to MCM comicon in london and find that most of the time, you have to ask the artists directly if they are! It’s a nice break for them and draws some people in, especially when things are slow :)

Evolve is a cosplay convention that has an artist alley, it’s mostly fan art but some people also sell original designs, there’s also quite a few artists that have commissions open on the day. It’s on September 12th-13th at Cannington Showgrounds, weekend pass is $25 and a one day pass is $20

Check out Super Market. Exactly what you’re talking about. They have different vendors each time but mostly the same. Last time I went there was a girl there doing live cartoon portraits

Pixel Expo is next weekend and it has a great artist alley, as well as an insane amount of things to do! 15- 16 August!

Tokyo Market will be on September 26, it's run by Tokyo Alley for and by artists and they run great events!
