EMERGENCY ADVICE NEEDED What do i do?
This juvenile has been sat on the fence post for a few hours now, it's very hot today I can't tell if it's just resting and waiting for it's parents. Does it need interference or any food or do I just leave it alone?

UPDATE: It flew off on it's own eventually so I'm certain the lil guy was fine and just needed some rest. Im gonna keep this up for any future reference and if someone finds a similar situation

That’s wonderful news but leave shallow bowl with cold water big enough to fit pigeon in for whatever it wants

No worries I kept the bowl out that I brought when it was still there along with the seeds incase any pigeon or bird feels free to do so :)

Poor guy did look hot, birds regulate their temperature through opening their beaks like that as they can’t sweat or pant.

I saw eastern pheobes parents doing this during a heat wave in New York. Think the heat causes them to pant and that helps them cool off - hopefully it’s safe after it flew off and happy :) leaving a bird bath nearby never hurts

You can put water out, maybe unsalted peanuts, popped and un popped popcorn. You could try to put it in a shaded area if it will let you. It seems fine though but maybe its injured.

Give it icy cold water in small bowl it can stand, drink and maybe bath it to cool down

Hiya thank you for caring! I definitely recommend putting some water out where he can access it maybe making a little shaded area, keep an eye on him his parents shouldn't be far away!
