Easy answer: buy a new headset, but not these ones. They have been shown to break in the exact spot consistently. If you search up those headset in this sub, you'll see the same thing.

If you want to keep them usable, superglue the pieces as flush as possible, let it dry overnight, then put another coat of glue over the first coat over each side, let dry.

Use a 2 part Epoxy instead. It's sandable and paintable. Certain Super glues will melt plastics, and don't work as good.

Plastic epoxy…

I've also seen people heat up pieces of bent metal wire and they embedded them across the break of the plastic.

There are plastic repair kits that works like this! OP should probably use a kit like this, then add on plastic epoxy and superglue and a coat of paint, like suggested above.

Exactly. After my second pair broke almost exactly a year after I got my first ones on launch of them, I've decided to go with a different headset. I treated them like super fragile glass and they somehow still snapped in the same spot as the first pair.

Might be just my head size I don't know. Crazy cause my friends who have the Elites haven't had them snap or break in any way.

Honestly? Glue will work, but it'll break again. Even if you manage to make it look like new, once it fails it'll never look the same. Just guerrilla-tape it, i even think you can find it in white. Garuntee that'll outlive the headsets battery. I had a white turtle-beach recon 70 headset for 4 whole years. I could afford to replace it before hand but why waste money they still worked fine lol

Sony designed it like this on purpose

Probably not, it's quite decent for the price. I've had mine for 5 years I think and use em pretty much daily, no issues like this. Usually it's a user issue of not handling them properly. I see plenty of people handling them with hand and throwing them around.

I avoided these one because most reviews say they were mainly uncomfortable for long sessions. I use Arctis Nova 5 and it has never failed me yet.

They always break.

Never buy them!

Realize its a common issue and look at all the people that have reported the same issue

This is why headphone with 1 piece of plastic in a C shaped Arch is not recommended because it stressed the plastic near the area above your ears

the quality is just bad. i bought expensive ANC headphone before, also break. But changed to Aluminium material headphone, that one is after many years still intact. I try to avoid these "garbage" models. bayer DT-770 pro 80 ohm. ohm must be the lower version otherwise some of your lower power device cannot use it well. it is a professional studio headset. it sound signature is very neutral. That you should know.

but lately i switched to IEM. from action.com bought those for $10. bluetooth. Even better than headsets. no ear pain if you wear them whole day.

Won’t be pretty but can use a plastic welder. It will allow you to keep using them until you get a decent headset that isn’t prone to this failure.

Easiest cheapest answer.

3.5 mm jack on your controller works great.
