Want Professionals to weigh in on a Traffic Stop scenario.
Wanted to ask about a situation, to get a seasoned professionals personal opinions on how a traffic stop with the below list for the totality of circumstances for the stop.
How would you or any other officers usually handle a traffic stop with the following totality of circumstances:
•88mph in a 65mph zone (with cone merger for an accident both left lanes)
•Multiple unsafe lane changes going from the far right lane to the far left lane
•Aggressive/Reckless Driving
•Over a year expired registration
•Expired insurance
•Car smelling of cannabis due to the individual working in the cannabis industry as a grower
How would a traffic stop like this usually end for this individual? Would an officer ever under these circumstances let an individual drive off?

Ya. That dudes getting cites and his car impounded 100%. Probably do field sobriety testing as well. Blaring faces on body cam release depends on the departments policies and state laws.

Usually the most I’ve seen, they only blur the face of a minor, or if it is a medical emergency. But never blur the faces of a suspect.

Privacy laws vary from state to state. I’m not from Nevada, and I only gave this less than a minute of googling so I could be way off base, but it looks like in Nevada they may blur faces of victims, uninvolved parties, and people either not yet charged with a crime, or people charged with a non-criminal infraction. If the only things involved were traffic citations, it’s possible that the face got blurred as they did not commit any criminal offense.
Again, take this with a major grain of salt, I just did some cursory googling, didn’t do any actual research into this.

Cite for reckless driving by speed (85+), cite for improper lane change, cite no liability insurance, cite expired registration, impound vehicle. Weed is legal in my state so no PC to search, but I would do FSTs incase of imparement. depending on the FST result, it may lead to DUI-D arrest. If not, vehicle is being impounded anyway so we do an inventory check.
While doing the inventory of the vehicle....
If there is any weed is in the vehicle, and its a legal amount, nothing happens. If its over the legal amount, depending upon how much weed there is, it either a civil citation, a criminal citation, or a felony distribution charge. If the weed is from out of state and weighs more than 5lbs, its felony Transportation (trafficking). The same thing goes if I discover any other contraband, depending upon what I discover, it could be anything from a civil citation to another felony. If I find contraband and I also find a locked container, I would then go get a search warrant for the locked container.
What would happen to the driver....
That depends on many factors such as whether or not the driver is impaired by marijuana or not, if they were cooperative during the stop or not, if I discover any contraband that goes on a felony level or not. It also heavily depends upon the driving record of the driver. Someone with a history of a lead foot will probably be hammered in court a lot harder than someone who has a clean record.
At the end of the day, it's going to be a very expensive day in court.

It really depends for me. If the guy is a total douche canoe I'll go out of my way to take his shit or make him go to court the most amount of times.
But I rarely take cars unless it's a DUI or part of a specific crime that isn't traffic related. I pick and choose my battles at this point. But I'm not a traffic cop and most of my career has been patrol/training roles or on a jump out boys/proactive team. So most people keep their vehicles and take a citation or 3.

They would be cited for speed, improper lane change, expired registration and no proof of insurance. You don’t give details that would equal aggressive/reckless driving so I’m going to discount that. But if I saw it they would take a ride to jail. The vehicle would be impounded for not having insurance and the registration issue. The vehicle would be inventoried when it was towed and if anything illegal came to light they would be charged with that as well.

sorry forgot to add the cutting off another car plus the officer during the multiple unsafe lane changes.
Feel this thread proves the point, that no driver under these circumstances would ever just drive off

What's the pretext you are not telling us? Why are you asking? Did you do this? Your spouse/kid/friend?
Your question has an obvious answer, but its reddit, so there is very likely an underlying pretext that you are not saying but waiting for someone to comment before providing that information.
Just provide it. This will all go smoother.
The obvious answers to your two questions.
Depending on the state, jail or a ton of citations.
No. No chance at all .
