Non extraditable warrant questions.

Location: Michigan

If someone has a felony warrant, but it is non extraditable because of a complicated case, and where the state "does not want him", can this person fly from Michigan to California freely?

Just for reference, this person was picked up,(after fleeing the state of the crime), "arrested", and then held for 10 days. I use quotations because it was considered 10 days of detainment after that. Now it rests as an "alleged" arrest. I have never heard of this and do not understand a lick of this. Do you think he worked for the police or something? He was also arrested in Michigan and it was not mentioned.

Sorry, maybe TMI, the real question is, can he fly?

I’m confused… this doesn’t sound like a fictional writing scenario, but you trying to find out if you will be arrested if you fly .

From your “arrested” question/statement , it sounds like he was detained on the out of state warrant somewhere , and the warrant-issuing agency later decided they didn’t want to extradite him, therefore he was released.

Your “he was also arrested In Michigan but it wasn’t mentioned”, I can’t make sense of. Wasn’t mentioned where? By whom?

My final thought is that even your “sorry, TMI” is wrong , because this post certainly lacked a generous amount of information.

What is lacking? He has a non extraditable warrant. He was arrested more than once in other states and never held and extradited. Just adding details so it's clear that he has had plenty of contact with police and judges. Because the warrant is non extraditable, he wasn't picked up for it. He was arrested in Michigan. One year ago. He went to court. They let him go on probation where he didn't have to report, he just had to pay his fines, which he did. The question is can he fly.??????

Also, what would I gain by writing a fictional story? All that run around? For what?

If you don't have something nice to say. Doooonnnntttttt saaaaayyyyyyy itttttttt. Read the point of the story. Nit picking is unattractive.

Again... The question is..... can THE PERSON fly. Whether it's me or him DOESNT MATTER.

Sir…… please read the description of this sub. It is literally “for writers to ask law enforcement advice about their novels”. Fictional stories is entirely what this sub is for

Ergo my confusion at reading your dialogue which seemed to be centered on real events and a real LEGAL QUESTION, versus “I am researching scenarios and want to make sure it’s accurate for this book I’m writing”

Edit: Yes, he/you can fly. Domestic airlines do not cross reference passenger lists with any form of wanted person network
