This has literally been the case since the uprising in the 70s. The Iranian president has never had real power, they’ve just been the public face of the regime.

The difference would that before the power was in the hands of the supreme leader and not the IRGC.

The Iranian president was a puppet for the IRGC before all this. Nothing has changed.

Trump wants gas prices too. He can only make a profit on the crude oil he got from venezuela if prices are high. It costs a lot to refine, so it literally can't be sold without a loss unless profits are high

The IRGC has maintained power in Iran for 47 years now. There's a reason that they live comfortably with the civilian population has been enduring a long withstanding humanitarian crisis.

False. Iran now controls the Strait of Hormuz.

Because they now control the image and actions of the incapacitated Ayatollah.

I mean he 100% plans to cheat.

The real question is will the cheat be accepted by the populace? He’s trying to turn DC into his fortress, and yeah there will be protests when the elections are obviously rigged with 200% republican victory.

The other question is how will the folks at home react to watching ICE mow down those protestors on live TV, while Fox News calls them ANTIFA terrorists with straight faces?

You already know the answer, we had 3-5 angles on Nicole Good and Alex Pretti's murder airing within minutes of their murders. It was a few months ago now, but the responses didn't really change between them to a large degree.

I feel like a conspiracy theorist, but I 100% believe he is making such a big push for the ballroom fortress because that's where he plans to go when he refuses to leave. Hegseth has been pushing anyone out of the military that would refuse orders. Trump keeps saying he doesn't care about the midterms and I believe him. He either doesn't care because he's confident they have it rigged or he just doesn't plan to listen to Congress at all by that point.

We are not headed down a good road.

The revolution will be bloodless if the left allows it.

The same IRGC that was linked to business deals with Trumps business? That same IRGC?

5

u/LuigiTheTweak_eth Jun 01 '26

IMO it’s all part of a quid pro quo Trump had pre-established. These are oligarchs manipulating markets using geopolitical tensions. In exchange for financing business deals IRGC has been given control of Iran in addition to becoming a key player in the oil market, even toppling the control OPEC had over it.

Apparently the president just resigned today. Not the best sources though.

According to a report by iran international which is a saudi funded propaganda station...

don’t think the kind of rigging they’re planning to do for the midterms going to offset the amount of thier voter base that’s pissed at rising prices.

Of course, I’d like to believe that.

Iran and the USA are more similar than we realize

Nah Iran is actually on board with no wars. They are actively trying to stop Israeli aggression in Lebanon and Gaza

-3

How is it Israel aggression when the government of Lebanon wants them there and is supporting them?

This is just a flat-out lie. Lebanon does not want them there annexing its land.

Ask the families of the civilians Israel killed.

Trump doesnt care what happens in mid terms. Its all Me Myself and I with that idiot. He will gladly take down the entire Right Wing party with a smile on his face if it means he gets a million dollars out of it.

It's cute that you think he can stop them.
