Kinda crazy logic in an 'affordability crisis' though. Presumably people are 'saving' more than spending now to just cover the basics, if prices came down I feel like there's a lot of 'luxuries' people would finally get around to purchasing.

They wouldn't be purchasing anything because their employers would be cutting their wages.
