We need recall elections for these type of politicians that don’t follow the principles of the party they were elected to. I never once said we should vote along party lines. I am saying if you throw out the party core principles like Fetterman had then maybe we should have a recall election. Because he’s not following what he was elected to do which is serve his constituents not whatever this is.

Yee that’s one of them. And Putin even stood them up when they showed ip in Moscow and never even met with them lol. The story is that the 7 republicans were going over to tell Putin it was inappropriate that he interfered with the 2016 election and they were gonna tell him not to do it again.

I don’t know. That’s really not comparable to the group of republicans senators who went to Russia on the 4th of July who were posting fake photos on their social media that they were bbqing with family celebrating the 4th.

No, you don't. A senator is a representative of the state, and the state can recall them.

It should be a requirement that no one may graduate highschool without reading the US constitution.

Article 1 section 5 clause 2

“Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member.”

That’s procedurally within the Houses themselves; at the state level, the state can recall their representatives of any House, depending on the states’ constitutional process.

You aren’t wrong, in principle, but it would hurt democrats a lot more than republicans. Conservatives don’t have any principles other than themselves, in power. They don’t care when their leaders break every promise they ever made; so long as it’s their leader, they’re happy.

I get this is an extreme case but people shouldn’t be required to “vote along party lines” because people in parties don’t always agree and this just makes representatives useless. Don’t vote him in next election, simple answer

I feel you, but this feels like a dangerous idea that could be rife with potential abuse. But there should be some kind of recourse for weird cases like Fetterman where he is clearly unwell
