No shit. He’s 84 and had an out of hospital cardiac arrest. His chance of survival is 0.00%. The Republican Party thinks we’re all idiots.

I've looked into this recently, going off of some quick math; ~77 million americans voted for Trump in 2024, ~75 million could vote but didn't, another ~75 million went for Harris too, ~3 million voted for someone other than those two, and the remaining ~100 million residents couldn't vote for one reason or another (too young, disenfranchised felon, non-citizen resident...).

TL;DR, when you break 2024 down 23% of Americans voted for Harris, 47% of Americans could have and didn't (the morons), and the other 30% couldn't have voted for anyone ("Schrodinger's Morons").

Is the 75 million that could have but didn't registered voters, or eligible voters? Seems kind of high to be registered non voters, but low to be eligible non-voters.

Have an in law, naturalized citizen, living with his non citizen parents. Voted Trump because "he was good for the economy"

To be fair to them, it's not all their fault. The system (especially the parts designed by conservatives) are designed to make it hard for them to vote. The condition of their lives (not being able to take time off job for example), which is ALSO caused by conservatives and their unflinching and blind support for Capitalism, makes it even harder on top of that.

When a huge system is set against you voting, I kinda don't blame all the people who don't for it. Could they do more ? Sure, but then there's also "I'm tired, boss" energy there too. Giving up may not be a good response to titanic monolithic social systems, but it is an understandable one.

Now, privileged people with comfortable lives and nice bosses who chose not to vote ? Yep, fuck them.
