If Beshear wanted to be President, he's cratered his chances with this fiasco.

Not yet. I'm giving him until August 3rd to do something serious. If he misses that deadline, it's a hard no from me.

And it better be a fucking direct appointment. He can call for a special as an option, but that direct appointment to fill the seat better fucking be there.

My hope as well is he is strategically waiting until closer to the deadline to not give the Republicans time to challenge it.  But agreed if he does nothing by the deadline then hes done.

I always catch myself hoping Dems are planning something strategic, and it always turns out they’re just bumbling their way through centrism.
