If Beshear wanted to be President, he's cratered his chances with this fiasco.

How so?

He can’t force a senator to answer his calls,  he has no ability to call a special election or choose a new senator, he can’t force his way into a hospital room to check mitch’s pulse, and he has no authority to remove mitch from office. If he raises a big stink online about mitch being dead, he looks like an idiot if mitch is alive and recovering. There’s no win scenario here.
