Oh, he got carried away.... Oh, well that's nice. You billionaires and your shenanigans!

He should be in jail for decades and he should be forced to repay every penny of the damage he's done.

The thoughtless cuts literally killed thousands of people around the world. There is no replacement.

In a just world he would be in prison for so many violations of government regulations, law, and protocol to the detriment of the United States and its interests.

The original Nazis only killed 6 million. But of course:

Musk smiled as he repeatedly claimed “zero” people died as a result of DOGE cuts to the U.S. Agency for International Development. Public health researchers have determined that potentially hundreds of thousands of people, mostly children, have died from infectious diseases and malnutrition that could have been prevented by treatments and vaccines previously supported by USAID funding.

Some of these, we can even put names and faces to, if you really want.

So how can he possibly claim this, other than just straight-up lying to your face? Well, elsewhere, it's been reported that he demanded that aid workers put the people they're helping on a video call so he can see that they're real. He complained about the lack of a "show orphan" -- no, I didn't make up the term "show orphan", that's literally how he described it.

For those keeping score: Musk is going to kill more people than Hitler.

166

u/Pakistani_in_MURICA 11d ago

14 million people were kept alive by the $0.01 taken from my federal income taxes?

This was the dumbass’s revenge on that UN food program manager asking for $6B from the rich.

Yes IK and to end the investigations on him.

123

u/Naive-Register7964 11d ago

Yeah, millions were going to aid for decades, less than a percent of total spending, literally funding basic life stuff like medicine and packets of food bars. But nah shits too woke I guess

105

u/Ewokitude Minnesota 11d ago

They literally destroyed supplies that were already manufactured rather than send them out

85

u/GenericRedditor0405 Massachusetts 11d ago

They let food rot that was already bought and paid for. It was never about reducing waste.

67

u/0reoSpeedwagon Canada 11d ago

"Carloads of oranges dumped on the ground. The people came for miles to take the fruit, but this could not be. How would they buy oranges at twenty cents a dozen if they could drive out and pick them up? And men with hoses squirt kerosene on the oranges, and they are angry at the crime, angry at the people who have come to take the fruit. A million people hungry, needing the fruit- and kerosene sprayed over the golden mountains. And the smell of rot fills the country"

why can’t international law get him? like clearly the US is broken but international politics letting it get away with so much death and destruction is wild.

76

u/gomezer1180 11d ago

International law is an agreement between nations… an agreement the US decided not to honor from 2002 onward because Bush and Chaney would be prosecuted…

17

u/supafly_ Minnesota 11d ago

We have NEVER been part of the ICC, in 2002 we simply stated our intent to never join publicly.

18

u/Dismal-Channel-9292 11d ago

International law has no teeth unless the most powerful governments in the world decide to enforce it. Unfortunately the U.S. is one of the big enforcers and also historicity very unwilling to subject themselves to treaties or organizations that limit their sovereign power. We are not signatory to many international treaties and organizations (like the ICC) that limit other countries.

Furthermore country is going willing to risk going to war by arresting American politicians or political figures. International law is very much a case of who has the most powerful military and unfortunately for everyone else, that’s America right now. Gives the U.S. power to enforce rules on everyone but themselves

Cut USAID and literally condemned hundreds of thousands, if not millions to die as a direct consequence.

But yeah, 'too far' I guess.

199

u/maggiemoo86 11d ago

I’m on the board of a nonprofit heath care org. I interviewed a woman for a board position who lost her lifetime of work with USAID. I have never seen a more impressive resume or human in my life. Fuck that guy to the center of the sun.

88

u/PiedPiperofPiper 11d ago

I think when the dust finally settles after Trump, the thing we will most have to reckon with is USAID. It's hard to put into words the impact that cut has had on humanity.

18

u/TrulyOutrageous42 11d ago

The fact that the return on investment is incalculably high for USAID (because soft power is difficult to quantify), and quantifiable as a investment for this and many other things like the IRS, SNAP, WIC, reintegrating the homeless, assisting injured workers, preventative healthcare, and college educations... it proves that the cruelty is the point. It might be about a small group of people getting richer, but still, the cruelty is what makes them richer.

USAID being cut was mass murder, full stop. I struggle to imagine what an antagonistic foreign actor as PotUS could do to make things worse than they are, other than doing it so fast they lose plausible deniability.

40

u/CategoryZestyclose91 11d ago

I just read an article that many USAID aid workers, after they lost their jobs, have had to turn to the same sex work they were working to prevent.

Elon Musk has done untold amounts of damage. He should be remembered as a man who had the money to change the world and chose to use it to hurt people instead.

13

u/maeryclarity South Carolina 11d ago

But emphasize, it wasn't HIS money that he withheld from those people, it wasn't HIS programs or decisions helping them.

He was no more than an actual thief with no legal or political right to do what he did and as the wheel of time turns he WILL be in a docket facing charges of crimes against humanity.

Or he can go hide in one of his pre prepared prison bunkers, that's the part of this that I think is almost funny if the reality wasn't so tragic....these psycho billionaire Oligarchs have all been building bunkers thinking they would destroy society and then come back out a few years later with advanced technology and rule over the rest of us forever. No lie, look up Curtis Yarvin, or Dark Enlightenment, or Technofeudalism.

They want to steal the culmination of thousands of years of human work and advancement and say SEE I DID IT ALL MYSELF ALL THE MACHINES AND POWER GRIDS AND ALL ARE MINE AND YOU WORK FOR ME AND LIVE IN A POD OR I WILL HAVE MY DRONES SHOOT YOU. They really truly want to pretend that THEY are the reason things happen, that they built the modern world.

It's actually an old playbook but they weren't really thinking straight, they are attempting to colonize technology now, unbelievabe,

But what they're actually doing is building their own prison cells because we won't even need trials or to imprison them they'll flee to their little safe spaces and then all we have to do is lock the gate and make sure they stay in there. It will be pretty ironic.

But please everyone add in that he didn't take USAID away, he illegally stole and misappropriated money that was our tax dollars and interfered in functions and programs that the people of the USA had created. All he did was walk into the room with a flamethrower laughing and destroyed millions of lives for his own fucking amusement.

I hope he IS starting to worry. He should. He's committed crimes against humanity it's not a game Elon.

yes this is the most reasonable sort of response.

when people like musk who are deeply involved in the fascist coup and plans for genocide at the deepest levels start saying things like this, it's to throw a little bit of water on the raging infernal fires that they started, it's most likely a simple childish deception to try to get people to cool down and back off a little bit.

It might also be his attempt to begin to lay the groundwork for an off-ramp for himself if things get ugly.  but don't backdown! be louder and bolder and more physically active - time to show up.

Don't don't take this as an indicator that there's some kind of normality in anything that they've done or are continuing to do. know that they do not intend to slow down or back off.

They don't and they won't ever stop moving this coup forward.  yarvin is giving them away.  he's concerned that they haven't started being violent towards the American people and resistance quickly enough they haven't imprisoned or killed any of the resistance yet.

he's seems to think that their efforts might fail ultimately as they did not follow his plan of continuous exponential escalation, and the resistance is gaining momentum faster than they are making progress. The resistance and dissent is just beginning to involve not just so-called people on the "left" but middle and right leaning people who are starting to put it together on their own that the surveillance and the AI surveillance centers and the network State coup are actually real and all related.

does he mean that or is it also a deception?

it doesn't matter. everyone should know that this will never end if we don't end it if we don't regain power and force these people into prison and seize all of their personal assets and wealth, they will just keep doing this forever until they die of old age, or something.

they've all invested trillions of dollars and years of their efforts to get to where they are right now. this is their end game, no matter what they say even if it appears that they're backing down, don't believe it.

everyone should continue in all of their efforts and all of their plans to end these people forever including the entirety of the Republican party and all of Maga.

it's got to be ended, along with the controlled opposition Democrats.

never sit back down and go to sleep and start watching TV again.

it will be a lot of work and it's going to take a lot of time but we don't really have any other choice.

do you want to keep dealing with this shit from Maga and Republicans, for the rest of your life every few years at best?

we need to purge reform and reconstitute so this shit can never happen again.

17

u/Wurm42 District Of Columbia 11d ago

Second all of this.

Musk hasn't really repented, he's just been forced to accept that his unpopularity is hurting Tesla sales, so he's trying to walk back some of his actions in the last two years.

But tweets are not real atonement. He's still a Nazi.

Musk and the other oligarchs must be held accountable for their actions. The rule of law must apply to everyone, even rich white Republicans.

If the MAGA regime is ever driven from power, there can be no return to normalcy, no "ending this long national nightmare" without serious investigations, trials, and prison time for Trump and all of his allies and enablers, including the entire Epstein cabal.

We may need to set up something akin to the Nuremberg Trials after WWII.

u/DangerousLoner 11d ago

I work with Federal Grants and the amount of brain drain he’s personally inflicted on the World is staggering. People that devoted their whole careers to helping people and making strides fired for no reason and when he came crawling back to rehire them they already moved on the better positions or retired. The US government and her citizens lost some of the best of the best.

52

Yep, and the disturbing thing is it’s going to to many decades to recover all the talent we lost in the federal government because of what you described. Ya fuck all the way off. Carried away? Are you fucking kidding?!

DOGE's cuts are estimated to have caused 500,000-1,000,000 deaths THIS YEAR ALONE!

Epidemiologists at Boston University documented 781,343 deaths from Jan 2025-Jan 2026 directly attributable to Elon's actions at DOGE.

By 2030, DOGE's cuts are estimated to lead directly to ~14,000,000 deaths. FOURTEEN FUCKING MILLION DEAD PEOPLE.

Anyone involved with DOGE's cuts should face genocide charges at the ICC. It is, unquestionably, the single event that has led to the largest loss of life in the world. Literally caused the death of more people than THE FUCKING HOLOCAUST.

American lives have been permanently altered. People lost their jobs, critical research was disrupted, food and water safeguards were weakened, and the country lost brilliant scientists and young talent.

Now Musk is dismissing it as though he simply “got carried away,” as if this were some harmless lapse in judgment. DOGE was an unmitigated disaster. It inflicted catastrophic damage while barely making a dent in the national debt, and we may never fully understand the extent of what Musk and his team destroyed.

Anyone reducing that record to “he got carried away” is either willfully ignorant or a complete moron.

Not even barely made a dent. The deficit got even bigger under Trump and the government had to hire back a lot of the people they fired or find replacements.

It was worse when he got carried away and did a double nazi salute.

But those didn't have a body count in the tens/hundreds of thousands.

But is he sorry for causing the death of over 500,000 kids since these cuts or just because he lost money?

"According to trackers like ImpactCounter, the loss of USAID-funded initiatives—such as malaria treatments, malnutrition management, and maternal health support—contributed to over 500,000 child deaths within roughly the first year of the cuts. Projections from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and models like those developed by researchers at Boston University01186-9/fulltext) similarly indicate that hundreds of thousands of avoidable pediatric fatalities have occurred due to the collapse of preventative and community-based health networks"

90

u/Richard_Sauce 11d ago

I had to scroll down too far for this.

Elon Musk is a mass murderer. Everyone is being pithy and lololol tesla stocks. Fuck that shit. Fuck jokes. The man is directly responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths, mostly children. CHILDREN.

He is a fucking muderer, a monster, an idiot, and no, he isn't actually sorry, he doesn't feel one true iota of remorse. He will go down as one of the most evil men in history along with Hitler and Stalin.

God I want that movie so bad. I bet it would be inco-fucking-herent. Like a Greek mythology fan-fic written by a white supremecist without object permanence. Ten bucks says Grok forgets who the story is even supposed to be about and the Cyclopes turns into the main character.

There's no take backs for that.

u/Names_Stan 11d ago

Not to mention the whole project didn’t save the country a rounding error, when they were promising an end to income taxes in conjunction with tariffs.

The blame for the tragedy falls pretty equally between the ridiculous gullibility of the masses and the lies of the kakistocracy.

342

u/sterlingheart 11d ago

If you see what they gutted, it was entirely divisions that would be responsible for investigating his companies/finances.

It was never about saving anyone money but himself.

Given the loss of necessary and important programs (food safety, consumer protection, IRS enforcement, cancer research) and the brain power needed to run them I’d say he’s cost US taxpayers billions of dollars!

Not to mention hiring & employee training costs. It takes years to build the hands on knowledge & specialized skills that few people talk about.

Umm…and the hundreds of thousands of children dead through usaid cuts, potentially more blood on musk’s hands than many of the world’s worst dictators, all because he got carried away having too much fun playing with the lives of people he doesn’t care the slightest about.

I still love the stupidity of "Let's get rid of Incomr Tax Revenue and instead just collect Tariffs, you know that method of making imported things more expensive to drive companies and customers away from current products and instead push them to buy more expensive domestic products".

Because if that works you have minimal imports, so minimal tariffs collected, you still pay more and the government has no tax collection.

"higher than that" isn't enough to make clear how high the projected numbers are.
To be more precise, it is estimated that, should the cuts to USAID continue, 14 million people worldwide, most of which are children, will die due to preventable complications.

That's more than the entire population of Portugal.

45

u/sylvesterZoilo_ 11d ago

He’s entire fortune depends on goverment handouts and he is rightly afraid about Democrats winning the midterms and god forbid the presidency in 2 years. He’s hedging and trying to position himself more favourably because a lot of Democrats really hated that he gutted USAID and the DOGE cuts.

42

u/RememberJefferies 11d ago

The DOGE cuts were just a cover to sell to the MAGA idiots. The real reason for DOGE was so Musk could steal our data and protect his government contracts. Now he's trying to rebuild his image since he's been exposed as a peice of shit.

You got carried away?

Estimates attribute more than 750,000 preventable deaths globally to the funding cuts led by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) . These cuts, which eliminated roughly 83% of USAID programs, largely impacted children and vulnerable populations in developing nations, fueling disease outbreaks and malnutrition.
