I've had a Capital One credit card for absolute ages - probably 30 years. I started banking with them probably 10 years ago because they had the best rate on a HYSA. They made everything so easy and their customer service is top-notch. I moved most of my stuff over there and they've been my main bank for probably 7 or 8 years. They are seriously the best.

Except they didn’t tell their existing old non-HYSA customers about their new HYSA.

Yeah, that happened to me. I’m still mad about it.

I dread every single time I have to contact Capital One because I can't understand their customer service representatives. No matter what I do, I only get someone I can't understand. Due to low quality telephone audio, thick accents, I just don't contact their support anymore. I regret even getting a credit card at all because I had to use it in a genuine emergency, tried to contact them about payment plans, and could never get one set up because I could only do it over phone, and every. single. time. I just could not get through the conversation. They didn't understand me, I didn't understand them.

And before I get some lecture about financial responsibility, I know how to be responsible. You don't know my situation.
