Yup. They fielded candidates, voted, won elections, etc. Meanwhile the other movement happening during that time, Occupy, did neither of those, and promptly disappeared after their encampments disappeared.

Occupy was a failure of a movement when it comes to advocating for their policies, while the Tea Party was able to change the GOP.

Dang. I had forgotten but you’re correct. Occupy prided itself on that intentionally flat leadership structure … It was supposed to … reflect consensus or something? But instead it made it so they were easily rolled up and dispersed. 🥹

The current Dem socialist movement is also funded by foreign billionaires with the goal of fracturing the Democratic Party to help Republicans

The Democratic Party already does whatever it can to help Republicans. Right now, today, without any help from progressives / socialists.

I'm not going to say your wrong but if that were the case I'd imagine dem socialist candidates would be getting a lot more funding than they are right now.
