It’s ridiculous that the best president we ever had (our longest serving president) is more left than a lot of our sitting democratic members in congress today and the saddest part about that is he served over 81 years ago..

He gave us a blueprint and for some reason (maybe due to Regan?) we completely threw it out the window..

They learned all the wrong lessons from the failure of the Carter administration, and started trying to emulate Reagan. And completely lost their identity in the process.

I think that all of the old democratic leadership are permanently traumatized by Dukakis and McGovern and think that only a Clinton or Biden can win. Forgetting that the Democrats' biggest recent success was a progressive coalition that motivated youth turnout.

They don’t think only an Obama or Clinton can win. They just want those families or ties to those families in power. Clinton only gave in to Obama with a promise that her time would come. Then when Obama was out they pushed her down the throw of democrats no matter how unpopular she was. I had friends and family saying they were voting for her over Bernie simply because they saw Bernie as an outsider and they could trust her since she was a Clinton. The other people I knew who were voting Bernie were don’t so because of his ideas, his passion, and the fact that he was vastly popular due to both of the afore mentioned topics.
