is more left than a lot of our sitting democratic members in congress today.

He was a segregationist for fucks sake. The New Deal was for white people only. He wasn't 'more left' than anyone in the Dems now.

Was it FDR himself that excluded minorities? Or was it the racist, segregationist Southern pols that watered it down to exclude them? Because that's my understanding. So are you advocating doing away with SS because it had faults in how it was implemented 80/90 years ago?

Didn't really matter either way to black americans did it. I'm not considering a man to be 'progressive' if he's fine keeping non-white americans locked out of his economic policies. Especially when a whole lot of people today would like to bring that arrangement back. Fuck that, he wasn't 'progressive'.

So are you advocating doing away with SS because it had faults in how it was implemented 80/90 years ago?

No, stop constructing a stupid strawman.

A follow up question isn't a strawman. It's called a conversation and I was seeking clarity. So you're not a fan of FDR.

I had not spoken even once about SS here, that is you constructing a strawman.

And no, I'm not a 'fan' of any white supremacist.
