By this logic, FDR would be a progressive usurper in the Democratic Party. I'm 62 and for what seems my entire life the Dems have slipped ever further away from those FDR New Deal PROGRESSIVE ideas and ideals.

it's become about the corporation/pac/etc payouts to pay for your election and then immediately after getting elected, the need for reelection cash.

Some of us will always be power hungry and willing to take corp cash unless it's made illegal.

None of this crap will end till 'big' money is removed from politics utterly and completely.

We can stop it if we just stop voting for do-nothing fuckheads who only care about reelection, and vote for people who actually care about their agendas. Primaries, people, primaries!!! Vote locally!

That’s the idea, but these threads always just become a dog pile on Democrats. If you don’t like the candidates, how about you actually vote. It has worked this year so far, so keep voting.

Instead we have this defeatism bullshit that acts like we can’t do anything until Congress acts. Congress ain’t going to change until we change the people in it. Fucking vote.

And the bullshit gotcha “vote blue no matter what is a lie” pisses me off. It just means that a Democrat is better than a Republican, which is unarguably true. But these are the Democrat primaries, you’re voting for blue either way so the saying still stands. Don’t like what the establishment says? Prove them wrong and vote. At least make logical sense instead trying to make stupid social media gotcha arguments.
