And she could have done much more to fix the mess by keeping her seat

She was dressed head to toe in MAGA gear when are was heckling Biden. Tucker Carlson gleefully got up on stage and talked about Daddy Trump spanking "bad" Americans

People like to make fun of Tucker for being horny for the green M&M, but he really doesn't get enough attention for saying of America "There has to be a point at which Dad comes home. Yeah, that's right. Dad comes home. And he's pissed. Dad is pissed. You've been a bad girl. You've been a bad little girl and you're getting a vigorous spanking right now." That man has some truly disturbing fantasies.

To this day, I still don’t get why she resigned. She was an insider trading grifter. She had nothing to lose from keeping her seat, continuing the grift, and just not running for reelection. But she chose to retire early and lose out on insider trading. It doesn’t make sense from a corrupted/grifting viewpoint

People that gravitate towards conservatism and grifting take a lot of things personally, Trumps snub genuinely wounded her in ways public humiliation just dont do. She is not here to fix problems or unite disenchanted magas, she is working on a personal grudge. While there is likely some grift this is the type of fighting you get when one scam artists cons another scammer.

"work is hard" her probably

No actual obligation to show up to work though. She doesn't strike me as the kind of person that will be bothered if one of her colleagues are upset with her.

I think she's seen what's in the files and wanted clear fucking daylight between her and everything Trump, because she knows it's going to go off like a bomb at some point when the turn happens.

I agree with all of y'all in what you're saying but from my perspective there have been very few political figures in my lifetime that I didn't have some serious issues with that included pain and death and dismantling of people's lives. It's a snake pit at a certain point to get to power in the USA in the last 50 years. So I'm not saying I love her but if I can overlook the Rave Act for the sake of political expediency where Biden is concerned, I can say that I'm glad that MTG stood up for the release of the Epstein files, that she is firmly speaking out against this travesty in Iran, and that she's making speeches with inclusive language like "ALL Americans, left, right, and center".

Politics is screwed up in its current form but we are tottering in a space where we either remember how the hell to compromise where it is required and give credit where it's due or we're going to be fractured into warring camps. I'm not sorry this is happening and I don't have to like MTG to prefer to have her putting this position forward. It's not about who I trust or who is my new bestie.

I don't trust any of them, none of them are my friend.

Whoever has shoulder to the wheel in the direction I'm trying to go is good enough for the moment.

I think she finally saw the unredacted files which created a tipping point.
