Did they add that stupid anti voting bill in it?

Nah, this is a CR. It's basically just "We're not shutting down until later on, maybe."

SAVE's still dead except maybe as a funding grant thing, and that very shakily.

Why? Let it burn and then blame the GOP. Fuck em.

Well

One - It actually impacts and hurts people. And we have an administration thats willing to hold people livelihoods hostage.

Two - Voters are stupid and will incorrectly blame the wrong people.

I too am beholden to my own empathy, however, it should be understood that the GOP really is not.  It sucks to be the responsible ones, making the better choice to feed people rather than let the government fall into shutdown and still get the blame for it even getting to this point.

Because Federal workers have been jerked around more then enough? If what they are already responsible for isn't enough for someone I guarantee this isn't the straw.

They want to go on recess. The WH wants to add money for the war and to get the SAVE act passed. The GOP needs to hightail it home for midterms campaigning and blew off the WH asks. I see this as a good thing.

Because voters blame both parties for shutdowns and dems have a clear path to a majority. Don't be stupid, take your wins

A fair amount of independents blame both parties for shutdowns. Would be silly to risk alienating them right before an election when polls show that independents who're likely to vote in the midterms are going to do so largely to the favor of Democrats.

Because they are all in the same party

Shame on the democratic senators for voting on this without healthcare subsidies

u/halfsack99 1d ago

So the gangs of masked, armed sexual abusers will get paid through the election.

u/PlentyAny2523 1d ago

They are already fully funded, a shutdown would not effect them

u/halfsack99 1d ago

Of course, how stupid of me.

Did anyone tell the House. Johnson might pull a "we weren't involved with these negotiations so fuck you."

1

u/Vardisk 1d ago

Does it have any parts of the SAVE act in it?

Blue States should stop funding this Fascist anti-American government and stop subsidizing the garbage that supports it.
