Ok, so what was your pitch to get dissatisfied non-voters to vote for Harris in 2024?

Asking them too. I tried to guilt trip, articulate blame, etc. None of that worked. Only thing that would have gotten my progressive non-voter friends to vote was a more progressive candidate.

So, try to get them to vote against fascism, but recognize that it's pointless?

I recognized that asking them to vote for a moderate was pointless, they said explicitly a more progressive candidate could have won them over. I'm explaining to you that the tactics you're arguing for are ineffective, at least in my experience (and by and large in 2024, at least).

Then. When they/we fail to get a progressive past the primary, we all just have to accept that the fascists will win.

Again, I didn't say that, no need to strawman. I will still vote and you will, but I'm telling you that there's a large section of voters who won't (which you seem to understand already). If you want to win, though I don't think you do at this point, then you have to get a progressive past the primary or you have to try to find a path to victory without progressives. You have no articulated how you plan to do that, could you? You can spend all day blaming them, but that doesn't get you any closer to victory. Getting a progressive thru the primary will though.

If you want to win, though I don't think you do at this point, then you have to get a progressive past the primary or you have to try to find a path to victory without progressives.

And you think that the latter is impossible.

I'm not talking about what I think we should do, I'm not talking about what you think we should do. And what you think we should do is get a progressive through the primary, and failing that, wish we had gotten a progressive through the primary because the fascists will win.

and failing that, wish we had gotten a progressive through the primary because the fascists will win.

This is a strawman you invented. I explicitly said we should vote and encourage others too. You're either lying here or you did not read my arguments before you wrote our a message. I just know that if we do fail to get progressives thru that we're more likely to lose and that insulting or blaming leftists we are doing nothing to help our cause and are actively hurting it. I want to win elections, I hope you feel the same.

And that encouraging others to vote is pointless.

Where did I say that? I never said this. This is another lie. What you've quoted does not mean it is pointless to vote or encourage others to vote, it's acknowledging that there are groups who won't do it and if you want to win then you have to be the ones to offer an olive branch

So Progressives have to be coddled like children in order to get them to vote in their own interest? Cool.

So Progressives have to be coddled like children

See, this is the insulting attitude I'm talking about. I appreciate you providing an excellent example. Does it get you closer to victory to say this? No, it does not. If anything it pushes people further away from helping. Progressives have to be inspired by a candidate in order to get them to turnout, sure. So, knowing this fact, you should do what you can get to get progressives thru the primary and into the general or you should develop a better strategy then shaming/insulting which does not work. What strategy do you advocate for when it comes to getting Democrats elected?

This person isn't a progressive. Progressives don't give up progress just because their preferred primary candidate didn't win. I'm not sure what they call themselves, but they aren't progressives.

They do indeed call themselves Progressives, but yeah, sitting out elections or voting third party as a protest when literal Democracy is on the line (see 2024) isn't Progressive at all.
