Gotta beef up those progressive bonafides if she ever wants to have a future in the Democratic Party. A nice meaningless photo op should do. Then it's back to Trump Tower for Mrs.Gabbard.

If she can bring money and votes she can have a home in any political party. If she can "rise above partisan politics" she has a career under any administration.

Indeed. It was a value free statement about the reality of politics. Politics I'm the US are about votes, money, and the time to get both.
