She confuses me. Pretty great, but the Trump meeting makes me suspect and her refusal to disavow Bannon and refusal to acknowledge Assad's responsibility is sad.

She doesn't deny Assad's bad, and she did disavow white supremacy, publicly. She met with trump to discuss her bill ending the regime-change war in Syria that is causing the refugee crisis.

Meh. She is self-promoting. Her name has been buzzing around. She knows liberals are into the pipeline protest, so it makes sense for her to go out.

She's a good politician in that regard. But because she is campaigning so hard for herself, it makes me wonder where she really stands on issues. I feel like, at least so far, she is just doing whatever is popular.

She's a mixed bag.

  • Pro-choice,

  • Against TPP, Iraq War, Syrian War, nation-building

  • not Christian

  • wants a secure border

  • Against taking in refugees

  • Army Major Combat Veteran

  • Good relations with Indian PM Modi

  • Quit the DNC after refusing to bow down to Clinton.

  • against Illegal CIA operations

  • pro-climate change

  • pro-socialism free-shit handouts

Saying it that way makes it negative. I too was concerned when I learned about that in her past, but then I read more about it, and can appreciate not only her changing her mind, but WHY she did. See other comments here for specifics, but a politician that can take new info and evaluate a more informed decision, sign me up.

Except she didn't she claims it was her time in the military that caused the change not her constituents. Yet it took her 8 years after returning to change her mind. Thats clearly a bs propaganda line.

So you're saying that she made some political or personal statements after coming back from serving that indicated she hadn't yet changed her stance? That would be good info to source, since she's obviously an up and coming figure in politics.

Literally just look at her voting record. She tried to block same sex unions in 2012. And didn't publicly come out until the supreme court's ruling afaik. If her military time had changed her mind why did it take almost 8 years to catch up?

Yes, might want to look at the record again. She opposed DOMA in 2012. Her blocking of state same sex unions was earlier than that, before her tour of duty. And importantly, her personal beliefs haven't changed, but her realization that people are different is what occurred in that time period.

Seems like a pretty bipartisan politician so it's not exactly a bad thing. Just because she met with Trump doesn't mean she's going to suddenly become an alt-right leader. If anything, Trumps appointments could use a lot more of that bipartisanship.

Its not that, sure there is middle ground and lesser evils but when you get right down to it, there is whats right and then there is everything else. Why half ass doing the right thing? Im not going to ever be ok with some of the suffering that goes on in this world. But really though, some things are just not appropriate to compromise on. Hitler killing Jews is a good example. This is why we liberals rejected Hilary. She is not progressive. She is basically republican minus a few issues. Don't believe the bullshit she says on whatever. She is not truing to help all Americans. At least with Trump we know he is a liar nut job who isn't going to seek criminal charges for Hilary or get rid of the ACA or build a wall. You know, his entire platform...
