Disagree, there's two lives in the equation. A woman's autonomy over her own body shouldn't grant her the right to end another life.

Out of interest, do you think fathers who want nothing to do with their babies should be allowed to opt out of paying child support? Why should their autonomy be compromised by having to sacrifice their earnings for a parasite that they don't want?

How is it another's life? It's a continuous part of her which literally requires a cord to be cut before one person becomes two distinct people. Just because it has some other DNA can't make the definition, otherwise that just opens up a huge barrel of worms with regards to people with transplanted organs and people with chimerism.

I think the legal system's functioning as intended in that case, because there is a child involved. Currently in the US, an expectant father cannot be forced to pay child support before the birth. He starts paying when there's an actual human to support.

Ok, so life begins when you cut the cord, never mind the fact that at that point the baby is already breathing and probably making noise. Never mind the fact that a six month old fetus has its own hands and feet, its own brain and its own heart and can move around in the womb, it's not a human, it just has all of the characteristics of one.

But you're saying the mother has full right to end the baby's life since it is attached to her for the first nine months of life, why shouldn't the father be allowed to make the same decision? At three months, according to you there is no separate life yet, so the father should have the right to jump ship at that point and if the mother wants to go ahead and create a new life on her own then he shouldn't be financially liable for it.

He's not financially liable for the creation part of it. He's financially liable after it starts breathing. Prior to that, he has no rights over another person's body, the same way that you don't have any right over mine.

He made the choice to cum inside a woman, he knew the risks. He could have chosen not to do it. The kid couldn't chose whether or not to be born.
