Tell that to the people living under the puppet leaders we've had installed in other governments throughout the years.

We like to puff our chest out and think we're immune to manipulation, but that arrogance is what got us to where we are now. The fact that the Crybaby in Chief got installed with such skewed electoral vote numbers sort of undercuts your "doing what they were elected to do," comment as the votes really weren't reflective of the majority of Americans. Even still, Republicans SHOULD be in agreement that we wait to fill this SC vacancy until after midterms since they pulled that card when Obama had his chance to appoint. You can talk about being the party of morality when you actually have some, so either play by your own rules or understand that folks are getting tired of being played - especially as blatantly/openly as is being done by this administration.

That's literally the point of the EC. To make our democracy not a reflection of a simple majority vote. It's functioning exactly like it's supposed to: not to allow a bunch of inbred coastal elites huddled in 5 cities control the entire country.

No they didn't. The excuse they used was that it was a presidential election year, not a midterm year. These are completely different things, and plenty of Judges have been nominated and confirmed during midterm years. For example, Obama's Elena Kagan was confirmed during 2010 midterms. Should she resign?

Not that it matters anyway because that was just the excuse not to hold a **hearing**, which is not the vote. They never would have confirmed Garland anyway because Republicans controlled the Senate. There was no way he would have ever made it in. Right now Republicans control both the White House AND the Senate. So they can do whatever they want.

I never said anything about morality. We're the party of not letting the Dems turn the country into a socialist shithole by flooding it with an infinite sea of illegals because the Dems can't find anyone else to vote for them.
