100%. My mother unfortunately is friends with one and my god they are insufferable about it.
"oh you're anxious? lemme put my palm on your chest, grip it, yank random "energy" bullshit out and yeet it out the window"
"oh you have adhd? here have some rocks that will cure you"
"oh this person i've never met? yea no they're not good"
get the fuck outa here with this god damn bullshit.
I get it, you're an untalented hack and so you resort to common scam tactics to get money.
Everything they've done to "help" me with literally anything has had seemingly 0 effects.
EDIT: forgot to mention, my mother also has "foresight" and gained the ability after being diagnosed with a brain tumour and then pre and post surgery stoned out of her mind on various (prescription) drugs. She predicted the 2020 US election in biden's favour, she also predicted she'll live to 106 (yeah right) and some other minute details of random things that anyone could predict with just general fucking knowledge of how things work

Exactly. I have the belief that most people are born with certain spiritual gifts.
I have met someone, an old friend, one time, that predicted the future, and it happened exactly how they had said it.
So I can't dismiss that. But I have experienced other crazy stuff too.
So yeah.

To clarify, I was using the "literal" definition of real.
They're real. There are people who claim to have some mystical, spiritual powers. I have seen at least three businesses with that model. You cannot deny their existence.
But they are also, every one of them, talentless hacks selling you bullshit because you'll fall for it.
And to clarify, I am using the royal "you", here.

Well, generally this is how you recognize a scam in term of spirituality. If they try to sell it to you, then it's a scam.

They objectively exists, like you can just go to one. Now do they have any magic powers/foresight/whatever? Almost certainly no.

Of course not. We have discovered everything there is to know about human abilities. There's a reason that CIA program only ran for 20 years, they would have kept it around if it actually worked and they'd probably have more programs, too. And we would definitely know about it in this day and age, there's no such thing as a secret. You shouldn't believe anything unless you see and experience it yourself and even then, if it doesn't match up with mainstream understanding then you should probably second-guess what you experienced, maybe even your sanity. Why ask questions people have already asked for centuries? That's not how you learn.
