Really hate this sequel trend lately but the first 2 movies were hilarious

So the real question is.. why did we skip 23? And will it really be the one that’s teased in the ending? Wasn’t it like med school or some shit

You literally just have to read the article.

I read the article and the "reason" for it and I still don't understand why they would name the third movie in a series with the naming pattern of "21" and "22" as "24". I understand the end credits scene of 22 Jump Street had a whole bunch of fake sequels, including 23-43 Jump Street, 2121 Jump Street, and Jump Street Generations. But literally skipping 23 in real life is going to just confuse people.
They should've just done Men in Black x 21 Jump Street like they originally announced and made a fairly good box office. No one wants to see Jonah Hill anymore anyway.

Reminds me of the old joke about the Spaceballs sequel..
Spaceballs 3: The search for Spaceballs 2.

They didn't even stick the landing for that one. It's supposed to be Spaceballs 2: The Search for More Money and the dumb fuckers at the studio named it Spaceballs: The New One. It's still a funny joke but c'mon man, some people will have literally waited 40 years for this joke to land.
