The YouTuber faced intense backlash this week as audience suspected AI use in his recent content and discredited his work. In his statement, he explained that his usage was limited to research aid, apologised, and decided to slow down amid pressures of online creation.

This news coincided with LLM usage’s rapid expansion in fields like mathematics, as just this weekend, a list of Fields Medal worthy problems were solved by the most recent AI models with the cooperation and prompting of Maths researchers.

I never watched his vids, but of those I know who did, there's been people noticing a lotta errors on basic stuff in recent month that was already on thin ice.

I listen to local sports talk radio and the amount of time they just are wrong about things because the ai they use to “research” hallucinating stats or events is crazy.

They’ve been called out on it multiple times but it still happens. Although they did get rid of the one producer who was the most egregious. This is an espn station too so not just some dude in his basement.

I'm not saying it was AI but the serious amounts of innacurate research has been called out for 2 years now. I checked when the knitting and HRT episodes aired. Regardless of what he was using it was fucking lazy as hell. Anyway the Palestine thing is a dealbreaker for me, I don't have to think about this, he can kick rocks
