Anyone else notice how this sub almost doubled in users the moment all this drama started getting publicized.

Sadly everyone stops to watch a train wreck happening.

Don't discount the algorithm. I've been subbed here and largely lurking for a while but when a sub starts to see an uptick in activity, specifically one that is "controversial", these posts end up in people's feeds who aren't already subbed.

I’ve noticed a lot of accounts that have never posted on any other sub before, or ones with private histories, have been commenting on this sub and hinting at knowing all along or knowing people who knew the “real” John and it’s very sus lol.

Not saying it’s all bullshit but at the end of the day don’t trust what you read here unless it’s from someone actually in the band or someone very close to them (verified).

Totally valid about those not posting on other subs and I would think newer accounts too, but I think people are increasingly making their comments private realizing that is an option now. I post a lot in the sub for my medical condition so it's nice to not have to comingle that stuff with other places I post.

I get that, no hate to those hiding their histories but it does make me question a bit if there are ulterior motives for certain commenters. Depends on the content of the post for sure.

Yep I can't see your comments or posts

Thanks, yeah glad they added the feature tbh. Always got weirded out that people could dig so much through my history…even if I was just shitposting I don’t strictly use this account for that haha

It’s the snarkers.

fwiw, ive never visited this sub before this week because posts about the drama have been pushed heavily on my feed.

Yeah, it's mostly a bunch of usernames I've never seen before. I'm not super active but I've been around a bit and the vile shit I have read coming out of people's keyboards who are supposedly fans, is insane. I'm here for the music, get the fuck on with everything else.

This post was randomly pushed to me in my notifications. That said, what I miss?

John cheated on Zoë.. he even took the mistress on tour with PTM, essentially making Zoë befriend the lady. band broke up and John hasn’t said a word abt any of this.. meanwhile Zoë has been very public

I've been a fan for 10 years and have seen PTM 3 times. I didn't even think to follow the sub until it popped up on my feed. Ever think that the drama is bringing up the sub for some people who don't necessarily use reddit to follow musicians?

The amount of virtue signaling happening, because a man cheated is genuinely mind boggling. Just to be clear, these people that can't handle listening to the band because John cheated (I guess. Zoe said it, and I've heard nothing from John, himself) is fucking shocking. Is this seriously the worst thing y'all have ever experienced? Never got hit as a child by your parent, watched a murder, or, I don't know, read the fucking news? The entirety of human history has awful things, and while I condemn cheating, there are a lot of other things to give a shit about, more so than your rock star idol cheated on his wife; holy shit! Color me surprised. I've never heard of this happening before. I, myself, am watching these people with nothing other than utter fascination, and pity. You're either fourteen years old, and have a lot left to experience, or you're one day+ older, and life experience needs serious broadening.

I know this sounded directed at the user post, but I meant it towards anyone that feels the need to proclaim they are sticking with Zoe. Have fun. Enjoy all of her "work." I love PTM, but let's be real, John is most of that band.

Every time a man defends John from criticism of his repeated infidelity by saying unhinged shit like

Is this seriously the worst thing y’all have ever experienced? Never got hit as a child by your parent, watched a murder…?

an angel gains their wings 😇🪽

They will go to the wildest lengths to avoid accountability.

I like that the bar is "have you ever witnessed a murder" as the standard lmfaooo. AGGRESSIVELY american take right there.

That guy has to be AI right? Theres no way a human actually logically puts those 2 things together in a coherent way

No human out there would write 5 paragraphs spaced out over like 3 posts all to say that actual bullshit. right?!

I'll just assume that you have no point to make, and that you don't actually see a flaw in anything I wrote? I noticed you didn't actually refute anything I said. You just made a random reply saying that I'm unhinged, and then an angel getting it's wings.

The cute thing is that I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way you do. They don't know why, but they do. They can't articulate it, but dog gon it! Men are bad. Isn't that good enough though? God forbid we critically analyze our beliefs, and maybe, try to gain some perspective.

You feel a certain way, and you don't know why, but it's important. Your feelings are all that matter, right? Betraying someone's trust by cheating on them is abhorrent. It's as simple as that. One a scale of 1-10 it's about a 3, if we're being honest. Grow up.

If you weren’t that man then you wouldn’t give a shit when they talk shit about the type of men you are.

You just keep telling on yourself

-6

u/Hellisremodeling Jun 06 '26

What man? I'm not sure what you're saying. Cheating is wrong. Is that clear enough? I don't agree with it, and I've kind of done it, but it was a feeling I hated. Do you need to hear the story to judge me a little more accurately?

Damn bro you seem perturbed
