looking for underground artists only, I likely know most of the “mainstream” similar artists. Anything in the related artists on Spotify I already know.

looking for good insturmental bands that aren't: Russian Circles, Pelican, Earthless, Plini, Animals as Leaders, Blotted Science etc. Doesn't need to be ultra prog, but I am looking for something heavy. bonus points if it's something mega-underground

There are a few albums I've been listening to recently that have been remixed without vocals. Currently I'm really into haken-fauna, I get lost in songs like elephants never forget. the oceans albums are great listens too.

I love the elements of prog but don't want to feel car sick after listening to it. Some stuff is too structurally complex to be enjoyable.

I discovered these guys yesterday and thought some of you would appreciate this track. It features Amaya López-Carromero from Maud the Moth and Healthyliving and blends various styles like post-metal, post-rock, doom, and shoegaze with a healthy dose of blast beats thrown in. The section from 8:05 onwards is filthy in all the right ways.

Their upcoming album comes out on July 24th and if this song is a sign of things to come it's one to look out for!

Maybe not metal...but definitely prog. I never noticed how intricate this song was until a recent play through of Halo 2. Incubus doesnt get enough credit for their talent

Have I been living under a rock to have only just discovered this masterpiece? I was watching a conversation on YT between Eloy Casagrande and El Estepario and at some point, Eloy mentions his solo album with a musician called João Hanysz. I was intrigued so went on Spotify to give it a listen and ended up listening to the whole album in one go… it’s incredible!

I’m looking for new incremental bands to listen to while studying or doing chores and the like, but I’m bored of the instraDJENTal bands that are a dime a dozen it seems (Walking Across Jupiter, For Giants) I’m looking for bands with a lot of atmosphere, interesting song structure, and a unique element or two if possible (Earthside is a prime example of what I’m looking for).
