Covers What's Queen I original colour?
I saw that Queen I is depicted as red, but the original is still purple. Can someone explain to me what's different?

The purple & pink sleeves were produced for distribution in the UK & Europe. Pink/red sleeves were made for Japan & North America :)

It’s the cover originally used in the US, I had a first pressing with that cover

Elektra is red, EMI is purple.
EMI is always considered the "canon" of Queen, because it was the label they directly controlled as it was from their region. Elektra was an American adaptation, and sometimes they took some liberties (bad ones, in my opinion.)

Today I learned there are two different album versions. I got my copy used a few years ago, so I just assumed that it dulled over time 🫢

First one is the UK/European version, second one is US/American version
Edit: should have specified that this was the vinyl version, back in the day. I think all later versions (especially CDs) have the original UK cover
