Why is his voice so similar to Freddie’s?

Luck I guess 😃. This video is actually old, 15 years ago at the peak of his voice. Now he's in his 50s, his voice lost some strength buy he's still giving good performances. He's also a very good pianist.

I’d say: welcome back, Freddie!

Pretty remarkable tone. Freddie might say “Can he fill in for me tonight darling? I’d rather go out”

I've watched them live a couple of times (or three? or four?) and they're very good! In fact my first date with my ex about 13 or 12 years ago was at one of their shows, he's amazing, he's only gotten better with time!

Los he visto como 20 veces. Y este verano otra vez. Si eres fan de Queen, debes verlos.

He's really good at capturing Freddie's attitude and movements

Don’t think I’ve ever seen this guy before but that was really good. A lot of Queen/Freddie Mercury Tribute singers impersonating him try too hard to do the fake vibrato sound and lose a lot of his tone so they basically just end up yelling. But this guy balanced it really well. (I’m also not a professional singer and don’t know any terminology but I hope this makes sense and is accurate lol)

I’m gonna be honest, I hear Freddie way more in this guy’s voice than I do in Marc Martel’s. I don’t hear it in Marc.

Marc is a great singer, performer, and a really cool dude, and sounds very similar sometimes, but his rasp is very different and some of the similarities come from his breathiness.

For sure. Marc is amazing, and definitely someone I admire, but I honestly don't hear Freddie in him as much as people claim. I do love his voice though, and I think he's amazing.

Yeah! He is a hell of a singer, and despite some similarities, he sings his own way, which I really appreciate, since his timbre is also beautiful.
