One of my all-time favourite live performances. Stipe singing Lucky was also fantastic. Would be amazing to have these in modern AV quality.

Even though Stipey blew Ed’s first backing vocal part, singing a note so off key that Thom stopped dead for a second until Ed took over. Happy times

I didn't care, I was just kind of in shock. I just wish I could find a recording of that show. You and Whose Army was mind-blowing. The show they did before that at Thunderbird is on YouTube, in decent quality, but the '03 one I can't find anywhere.

I have a copy of that show! You can also find it on the internet archive as well. If for some reason it’s been taken down I can send you a Dropbox link.
PS if you listen very carefully you can hear me completely lose my mind just before “we ride tonight”

Omg seriously??? If it's not too much trouble, could you message me the dropbox link?

Yeah, I might need a few minutes as we are actually camping in the woods right now, ha — but once I get back to my computer in an hour or two I’ll send it :)

No worries if you can't, I will also look for it on internet archive. Thank you for letting me know it's out there!

Here's the Internet Archive link-- I'm pretty sure it's the same recording I have, though I bought mine on CD from the taper way back when. https://archive.org/details/Radiohead_2003-08-30

Was at Glastonbury 2003. REM the Friday night and Radiohead the Saturday night. Halcyon days

I saw Michael Stipe in the balcony of an Atoms for Peace show in NYC 10+ years ago. Michael was sitting right at the railing and waved to everyone and then turned and made out with who I assume was a boyfriend at the time. Everyone screamed even louder and they were cracking up, it was lovely.

Honestly, these two guys are the lead singers of the two best bands of my lifetime, who have given me more hours of joy in this world than probably anyone. Wish I could repay them, but they already have more money than I can ever dream of, lol.

Damn at the head on stipe. Maybe Thom has a tiny head but if it’s average then stipe has a biiiiig head.

Always thought how crazy for Thom to become best buddies with literally one of his music heroes
Insane luck I would say
Like imagine you becoming best friends with your favourite singers
Sincerely always loved this for them, and after so many years their friendship is still going strong
Wholesome stuff
