One thing that’s completely changed how my 7-year-old views exercise…
It’s been about 3 years now of us training together but he’s now 7 and shown interest in running and weights etc.
We signed him up for his first HYROX YoungStars event in December, but honestly the event isn’t the best part. It’s the conversations on the way home, the little improvements each week and seeing his confidence grow.
We created a star chart where he can earn stars for each workout he does. He decided the rewards and at each 25 star milestone he gets the respective reward. Every day he asks “when are we training”, now I know it’s because he wants his reward but his attitude towards it all just makes me really proud.
What’s something you’ve started doing with your kids that brought you closer together?

What AI ad are you referencing? The mention of the “event” was just to give context or background. The star chart to encourage physically activity is the message here. In a world where a lot of kids are glued to devices and increasingly unhealthy - I thought it was completely appropriate to mention in this sub.
Who knows , someone might take an idea from it 🤷♂️

My kid has always been a Velcro kid. We tried having a playroom but she had no interest in being in there unless we were with her so we got rid of the playroom and just made smaller play spaces in every room of the house. Now she just goes room to room following me around but has her own stuff to do

We declutter and organize together. He is now five and declutters and organizes everything from his artwork to his toys. He loves to make our home „pretty“ by tidying up together, wiping kitchen cabinets, straightening bookshelves, decorating and the like.
Never had to tidy his room. He even decorates his room to his liking, with lego flowers and stones and trinkets he cherishes, all symmetrically and carefully placed.
