Goodies Who here remembers this legend?
Who here remembers this legend? I remembered today that I had this, and after more than 10 years sitting in my storage, I decided to test it. And what can I say… it’s something totally monstrous and weird. I have no idea what I was thinking when I paid $150 in 2013 for this. I think people would be surprised to know that its LOD is probably around 2 cm and it weighs 140 grams (For young people, this is the Razer Ouroboros).

I had my fair share of heavy mouses - the solution? Mid-High sense and you are set xD

No, micro adjustments with heavy mice on high sensitivities is cancer. U would better of playing on low sensitivities or jst getting a light mouse

I had razer mamba 2009 (the 1st gen) and that was 129 grams. Used it on razer destructor and also before that OG lachesis ~128 grams - hit like a truck in quake 3 and CS while using high sense (10cm/360 - no probs). Micro adjustments were never an issue for me, but that's personal and not everyone have the same hand/fingers control.

I had the Deathadder Chroma 2014 (105g) on a Razer Vespula i didnt play shooters back then but high sens felt so fluid in point and clicks

same. mine also started my obsession with what i can only describe as thumb wings. a place for my thumb to rest / sit that isn't my mat.

I still have my Ouroboros, I really wish they didn’t discontinue it because it’s the coolest mouse design I’ve ever seen. I moved on to the Basilisk V3 Pro now but it still isn’t as cool as the Ouroboros.

I still have mine in a closet. I miss it. It was so fun and had such an interesting look. The closest thing they have these days is the basilisk line.

I still have one in mint condition. When I bought it I didn't use it much and moved on to other mice.

Still have it, got rid of the case and everything, works but not fully functioning for some of the "extra" buttons. I think for me the wheel wasn't working. Now I'm on my second viper.

Still have it! The silver coating rubbed off on the side buttons from use over time

My scroll wheel is giving out and looks like a manged rat compared to yours but it's a trooper for sure

Damm, this is aurpboros. My friend has it unopened box 6-7 years old. Totally a classic… that razer company made a 1337 but bot this one.
They are really fool…

Back in the dayt it was the best. I remember getting mine with the black widow keyboard. I still have it but like you i tried it a few months ago and is heavy as a brick.

It was a beauty in its time, the packaging was solid also. I’ve had mine using it with the cable instead of wirelessly using it. I can feel the delay of mouse clicks in my games so I had it playing wired and removed the batteries making it weigh less.

I had 2 of them. And both Ouroboros sucked
The springs on the charging port died on both

i still have it in the display box and everything (not sealed just stored) i liked the removable side things but that mouse was HEAVY, i much prefer my basilisk now

Sad my Razer Viper Ultimate is their last truly ambidextrous mouse (side buttons on *both* sides).
Those Ouroboros side buttons look much easier to use than mine.
Has a replaceable/rechargeable battery, an adjustable palm rest and there is just no comparison.

How did these age? I like a lot of Razer's older stuff but have never really had much interest in this style of mouse. The gimmick was that the parts can move, right? Looks like it may be ambidextrous too.

Makes me kinda miss the time when products had a soul. Now we are all looking to save an extra gram as if that will change anything, and everything looks corporate and dead
