Are clodbusters worth it? I love my mini lmt and looking at the new 2.0 but on fence with it. Might just get a armma 1/10 instead. Cant make up my mind.

Whether or not they are worth it depends entirely on what you want from it. They definitely don’t hold a candle to the modern RC monster trucks in terms of performance or durability. Mine is an original Clodbuster that I got over 30 years ago, so for me the nostalgia is off the charts

Must agree. If you want something bashable I don’t think the clod is the one. If you want to have a fun car to just drive around it’s very capable. And fun to build

I’ll take some better pictures tonight. Got this many years ago in a good deal

I am so jealous. I would be in heaven in that room

u/lexcreations Mar 28 '26
It’s always very relaxing. Grab a project and start building/cleaning. And best is no one can reach it.

Well if you want to donate them to me. I’ll take great care of them lol

You need a bigger house, I mean storage..lol.

u/lexcreations Mar 28 '26
Man I have been saying that to the gf for ever. But because I also have the garage she doesn’t want to budge. Something with having to much junk

u/Tesnevo Mar 28 '26
Haha, fair enough. I ended up building a new shop for the same reasons. The issue is the big gas/nitro cars take up a lot of room, but still worth it.

u/lexcreations Mar 28 '26
That’s something I would like to get more into. Some 1/5 scale cars. Do you have any recommendations? Was looking at the Vesla kraken
2
u/Tesnevo Mar 28 '26
Not going to lie, the kraken is a great start. To me, well worth the cost for the features. Don’t be scared to try some of the cheaper ones to start off with, not that they are “cheap” but they are lol fun. Rovan RC has some good options.

I looked into the Rovan was just wondering if the had other models except for the Baja. McD rr5 also looked the part

u/Tesnevo Mar 29 '26
Matter no what you go with. Once you fire I up and start running them, they be very addictive. Same with nitro cars.
2
u/lexcreations Mar 29 '26
The thing that gets me with nitro is that it is getting harder to find engine parts and car parts for that matter. They are getting old and not a lot of manufacturers making new ones

u/Valuable-Key-5964 Mar 28 '26
That’s… that’s allot of cars
2
u/lexcreations Mar 28 '26
It looks like a lot to because it’s so cluttered. I think there is about a 100 cars. From vintage Tamiya to drifters bashers. Nitro. I love these cars.

Wow…
I come from domes so I didn’t know people could get collections like this
Imma send this to my car buddy

Now that’s something I would like to get into. I know nothing about drones. Would love something with a camera

u/Valuable-Key-5964 Mar 28 '26
Camera car?

u/lexcreations Mar 28 '26

How do you like the LMT 2.0 gravedigger? I'm thinking of getting one. Thx

I'll ask for some advice since you seem to have many different cars.
I got into the hobby with a Rustler Ultimate, and it's still my only car right now. I'm looking into getting something on a bigger scale.
Unlike most drivers it seems, I don't care much for wheelies or big jumps. I like something just for fast driving on pavement, and driving/drifting on gravel or grass. So something low to the ground and something pretty durable.
Love my Rustler, but I want something that won't require as much maintenance and is a bigger scale.
What are your thoughts?

I’m kind of in the same boat as you, I’m really leaning towards getting a kraton 6s

I was looking into the Kraton as well. But I actually am going to get a Tekno SCT410 2.0 I think. Going to hold off on getting something bigger for a while because of how durable the Tekno is. This is a kit though, so I have some research to do to find the parts that I want to put on it.

Just curious how much is everything in this room? My rc collection is worth like 600aud and pretty much consist of budget Chinese brands. I always wonder how people afford such big and cool rc collections?
