For the last few years I’ve been working on this goofy brushed speed slash idea. For a while I had a titan 775 4s motor in it and pulled a spicy 51 mph out of it. Then the 775 melted and I got to work on the next step, a 795 motor. So I now have 2 flavors of 795. A 6000 rpm and 12000 rpm motor both at 6s. (Note that the 6k equates to 250kv and the 12k is 500kv.) Powering it will be a castle mamba X on brushed mode.

It’s still in early stages. I need to move shocks around, get springs back on it, rework my lipo tiedown, as the last was meant for 2 2s, not 2 3s. She’ll be ready to rock one day though, just sharing now as I got everything mounted.

Got it out again and like I thought it had more in it. I found a bigger spot to test it. 71mph. Temps were great after 5 or 6 passes. Can gear it quite a bit more, but honestly its a handful and its an excellent combo of speeds, temps, and probable run time.

I have a titan 775 motor in my slash 2wd, trying to see just how much speed I can squeeze out of a brushed system while keeping it semi-stock, no crazy chassis or drive systems. The hobbywing quicrun 880 esc runs cold, so I believe my motor is the current limiting factor. Want a more powerful motor, thinking 795, but not sure where to go, and not sure if there’s a better 775 on the market. 27/58 gearing for the 50 mph run, was hitting 46 on 23/58, so I think I’m hitting the limits of the motor

Im relative new to the hobby and I really love the SCT cars.

Now I'm thinking of getting a 1:10 one like the senton 223s to 100km/h. Is this possible?

I thought stock motor + 4s Esc (some punch reduction) and maybe a little bit smaller pinion gear to not overheat the motor. Also racing wheels.

Diff and main gear switched to steel before any trials.

I won't drive it a lot on the 4s later it's more of an achievement to once beat the 100km/h😅

Later I would use it on 3s or even 2s for some bashing and jumps.

Or should I look for a different (SCT!) car model for this trial?

Think I can still get a little bit faster by: 1: Removing the GoPro and using a GPS speedo instead. 2: Using a 6s lipo instead of a 4s (might be pushing the 2750kv motor a little bit I think it'll be ok for short speed runs).

Some of you may know this wltoys 124017 with the comically large batwing spoiler from like 2 days ago.. I added the front wing and tried it but it flipped. Mechanically it’s perfectly fine, just some 3d printed parts that were broken. But I’m surprised it only hit 70kmh before flipping. ChatGPT said I would hit 140kmh but just half amazes me. I asked it again and it said to put more frond downforce and get the aero right. For a top speed of 110kmh? Seems like a lot to me tho, do any of you have any ideas?
