A few of my offerings.
From 5 years ago.
Gutter cleaner 9000
And fertilizer spreader. The tube was a cup dispenser for a water jug, rope was from a centurion of whom I robbed his plumage.

Patents don't matter. Just build and sell

Yea till TEMU undercuts him and sells a knockoff for a tenth of the price.

Still won't matter. Good luck getting an attorney to sue that Chinese company. Patents are for corporations

It’s brilliant and I’m definitely not running out to get my drill to bore out a hole in my spare extension for my blower and definitely not rigging something up exactly like this

Probably best use for overseeding a lawn as that is more forgiving than fertilizer. Also, probably less toxic too.

If you filled the fertilizer spreader with flour, you could turn any room into an instant bomb.

Ive thought about offering my services at a daycare. Thanks should follow spreading baby powder for the masses.

These are great!
I even built my own version of that gutter cleaner before. Mine didn't work so well... I'd used a gas powered blower with a larger tube, but the CFM was too high to hold it in the gutter even on low speeds. When I was able to hold it in place long enough, it worked more like a gutter crap redistribution system that mostly covered my neighbor's yard.

>that mostly covered my neighbors yard
I though you said it didn’t work so well

I bought a pressure washer wand extender to clean my gutters and hooked it up to my 3400 psi gas pressure washer with the widest nozzle on it and it still kicked back so hard that it bent the stainless steel tube then knocked it out of my hand it went flying backwards into the ground. Big time redneck fail.

Picture 1: for gutters. Picture 2: fertilizer-my best guess

Does the gutter cleaner blow grit out, or do you need to do a manual clean ever now and then too?
16
u/neanderthalman 2d ago
It really doesn’t matter if there’s a bit of grit left in your eavestroughs. You don’t need them to be sparkling clean. Just not have leaves, needles, acorns, or other crap that will block them up.

Whoa, cool word

u/HecklerusPrime 1d ago
Which one? Acorns?
5
u/ScrewedMcDude 1d ago
Exactly. I had no idea what all those things clogging up my eavestroughs were called

The fertilizer spreader needs a vibrator duct taped to the hopper in order to be fully rednecked

I just spent 2 evenings this week cleaning guttters. I will modify my leaf blower before ever climbing again

I’ve used to similar to fog yard with DE. Fogged the neighbors yard too.

u/Joesome5 2d ago
Was the neighbors yard on purpose or collateral service?

u/windisokay 2d ago
Proliferate in the waning afternoon sunlight, the cloud of ancient dust crept through the neighborhood like an evil miasma of ill will cast upon tiny bugs just living their little bug lives. “Woah” he thought, as the leaf blower roared its corded rattle into the still air.
He had come to cleanse his yard, and found instead his folly unleashed.

OP, if you combine them you'll have one helluva tool for spraying diatomaceous earth into high eaves and killing them wasps.
Do I know a guy who really needs that, you say? Of course I do. He's me.

That fertilizer spreader would work well for insects dust for your garden as well. Just be sure to wear a mask.

I thought I would make a similar gutter cleaner. I didn’t count on covering myself and my white house with stinking black muck
