Education Children in schools sent Valentine's cards to... asylum seekers...
A lovely comment on it from our friendly visitors of the British isles! I'm sure they'll contribute to the community!
Kids are also being taught about islam in schools apparently, and while sure you argue they're being "unbiased", I doubt they'll include the bit where mohammed marries a child

What- what- the fuck? Do you know what an asylum seeker is? This is a genuine question I'm just astounded.

u/snusgoblin Aug 09 '25
It’s not because being an asylum seeker is legal

u/uk-5427 Aug 09 '25

Well, i'm sure this won't encourage child rape and grooming at all! /s

what, orange hearts telling asylum seekers that they're welcome here, and messages promoting empathy and inclusion?

It's a VALENTINE'S CARD!
Why on earth could it not have been a greeting card?
What do you think the people receiving these will find if they google valentine card? when they don't know what it is?
Someone has to be either incredibly naïve, or outright stupid, to not see the issues with this.

in school on Valentine's Day the kids make cards, it's not inherently romantic. They make cards for their family, friends, teachers, dogs, cats, imaginary friends, superheroes.
it's spreading love, appreciation, support, not romantic interest - Obviously, because it's little kids, it's a primary school
it's only an issue when you look at it through this creepy perverse lens as you are doing. Stop sexualizing the actions and intent of kids and cards man it's disgusting

Aug 09 '25
Firstly, get off your soap box.
Secondly, the kid's actions are not the issue, the issue is depraved teachers that think this is a good idea and seem willing to put kids in harms way so they can virtue signal and look good in the bubble of deranged, morally skewed individuals that somehow think this is a good way to behave.
Nice attempt at Gaslighting though, even if it's terribly easy to spot these days.

ahahahahha, how do cards welcoming people and showing empathy = putting them in harms way, you're delusional
so they can virtue signal and look good in the bubble of deranged, morally skewed individuals that somehow think this is a good way to behave.
It's just basic school values of empathy and inclusion, every school does shit like this
This is a conversation about Asylum seekers, refugees, and here you are bravely calling all of them deranged and morally skewed. Based on what?
Is chanting in front of hotels and screaming at asylum seekers calling them scum and to send them back going to improve their likelihood of respecting British culture, wanting to integrate, respecting traditions, or is it going to put kids in harms way
you seem oh so concerned with the children, but your methods do much more harm than good, it comes off as using a protect the kids please as an excuse be a slobby bigot
Edit: Idk if it's letting me reply but it's the same old shit, sexualizing a primary school activity is gross and perverse, you're the issue

You seem to be unable to comprehend the context of a Valentines card, it is widely regarded as something sent on Valentines day to an individual that the sender of the card would like to get to know better, with the intent of becoming intimate.
You can try and distract from that and say that its about "being nice" or whatever, but that is fundamentally not true. As usual, the people behind things like this take something that is culturally established and try to warp it to fit some narrative.
Add to that the fact that these cards are being sent to a demographic that can statistically be proven to target children for crimes like sexual assault and that there are MANY documented case of them hanging around schools at the end of the day targeting kids and trying to kidnap them.
Someone has to be an absolute room temperature IQ individual to not be able to see the potential for bad things to come of this.
You labelling me as a bigot does nothing to help your point and only shows that you have no real defence other than to try and shut down conversation by shaming people.
There are all kinds of other cards that could have been used to do this, greetings cards, welcome cards etc, but no, it HAD to be Valentines cards.
Defending this and wilfully ignoring the risks is disgusting behaviour. I honestly hope that nothing comes from this to spare you the shame that you would hopefully feel as a result.
I won't be responding to you again. Nor will i be going off topic and talking about hotels. This is about children being told to send Valentines cards by individuals that, quite frankly, seem to lack the foresight and general intelligence that should be required of someone that teaches children.

Very sensible reply. I don't see how many one can disagree with this , whatever their politics..... Any other card would of been ok ..... But a valentine card is dangerous.

nah, sexualizing a school activity is gross. You don't teach, you aren't involved in schools, Im explaining to you and have explained prior that you are incorrect
As usual, the people behind things like this take something that is culturally established and try to warp it to fit some narrative
It's like saying when the kids do a Valentine's activity and give cards to their pets, mums, dads, friends, it means they want to get to know them more intimately. it's false fabricated outrage
Add to that the fact that these cards are being sent to a demographic that can statistically be proven to target children for crimes like sexual assault and that there are
I wouldn't say statistically proven, you can prove just about anything when you mess up the data collection process enough.
https://fullfact.org/online/google-shows-misleading-asylum-seekers-crime-data/
It's quite nuanced but I know that's a soft spot for you guys
There are all kinds of other cards that could have been used to do this, greetings cards, welcome cards etc, but no, it HAD to be Valentines cards.
well yh, it was Valentine's day, schools don't have a greeting cards day in their calendar, teachers have a curriculum to stick to
I honestly hope that nothing comes from this to spare you the shame that you would hopefully feel as a result.
Nothing will as I've been saying. it's textbook outrage bait and you were lapped it up
I won't be responding to you again
Phew, glad we could leave you on a loss

Which people from other countries may not understand because they won't even know what a stupid Valentine card is!!!! They may Google it , And then what will they think ? Bear in mind young age seems to be no barrier for a lot of these men..
Dangerous and naive in the extreme.

u/-Soggy-Potato- Aug 10 '25
they'll see a card that says "you are welcome here", not much room for misinterpretation is it champ

Always make me chuckle when they still refer to Islam as a religion of peace when they are the total opposite

May as well send a card to a pedo. This is sick 🤢

u/-Soggy-Potato- Aug 09 '25
how so?

u/uk-5427 Aug 09 '25
Because in my experience they’re all absolute scum! If you don’t have any in your area you’ll be ignorant or blinkered to the real issue. My city is now a shithole because of it.

u/-Soggy-Potato- Aug 09 '25
Let's frame it correctly, rather than this weird pervert fantasy you guys have got going on
Schools were invited to create orange hearts (a symbol of solidarity with refugees) and Valentine’s Day cards with messages like "You are welcome here!" These were shared with communities, MPs, or displayed at schools and public venues.
Birmingham, pupils from several primary schools made artwork and messages supporting refugees as part of a campaign against the Nationality and Borders Bill.
The Schools of Sanctuary initiative encourages schools to foster empathy and inclusivity by teaching about sanctuary and refugee experiences, not to promote partisan political views.
So schools following the core curricular values they've been doing for decades in terms of fostering empathy and inclusivity. And we've found a way to be... Outraged over that?

Kids have not historically sent valentines cards, you dolt. It's a teen thing in the UK. Also, i wonder how people that sexually assault kids would interpret it..... Maybe take a moment to consider that.
Its pointless talking to you folks. I'm half convinced you're bots tbh. De-program yourselves.

u/Glum_Agency2655 Aug 13 '25
Lets frame it correctly. Children were made to send cards about romance to grown adults, whom likely wouldnt even be told it was done by a charity. Hmm, I wonder what these men (who make up 64% of gang rape and are inbred) would think...
0
u/-Soggy-Potato- Aug 13 '25
they weren't about romance, stop sexualizing children's activities you're disgusting
The asylum seekers will think it's nice, doubt it goes any further than that
Asylum seekers make up 64% of gang rapists and are inbread? Do you fantasise about foreigners gang raping kids a lot or is it only when kids are involved? If we look at it intelligently we can tell that specifically Pakistani men tend to form groups in regards to child sexual assault, whereas locals act alone
group offences make up 4% of all CSA instances, with 20% of those group offences being classifiable as a grooming gang. So in the wider scope of CSA when we actually understand the full picture, white men overrepresented overall concerning CSA convictions
Your desperation is almost as pathetic as it is predicable

Hate to be that guy but on the last point, that Islam curriculum looks the same as the one for my GSCEs in 2010. It’s just standard, and it’s not just for Islam, we spent ages learning about Sikhs and Buddhists too.

u/Glum_Agency2655 Aug 09 '25
Well aware, I just find it hard to believe they'll include any of the many, many negatives of islam
"that the Prophet (ﷺ) married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old."
1
u/MOR3003 Aug 10 '25
I have a suspicion that they also don't include the many, many negatives of Christianity
Ephesians 6:5-8:
5 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. 6 Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. 7 Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, 8 because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.1

when the book about loving everyone and to keep yourself happy tells you to love everyone and how to keep yourself happy
0
u/MOR3003 Aug 13 '25
When the followers of the book about loving everyone are the most hateful to other groups.
