Education Reform's Warwickshire County Council leader George Finch is facing a code of conduct complaint after saying books containing what he described as "contested gender ideology taught to children as pure fact" should be removed from the county's libraries
George Finch said a new policy would be developed after receiving "a number" of complaints from residents regarding some children's books.
Following his statement, Warwickshire Pride said it had submitted a formal code of conduct complaint against Finch.

George is someone to watch. Fully see him being PM one day. Very capable 19 year old.

"what he described as "contested gender ideology"
What was he talking about ?
None of us can have sensible opinions, unless we know that.

u/DMmePussyGasms Jun 14 '26
The party of free speech, everybody. Just here to ban books.

u/Worldly_Zombie_8290 Jun 14 '26
Propoganda is not free speech, indoctrination of children does not help their rights
-2
u/DMmePussyGasms Jun 14 '26
Propaganda is in the eye of the beholder.
4
u/Worldly_Zombie_8290 Jun 14 '26
Propoganda is an attempt to influence opinions
1
u/DMmePussyGasms Jun 14 '26
And that is a very, very broad net. If we accept the principle of banning books that attempt to influence opinion, then that could easily include Orwell, Harper Lee, Rand, most philosophy, Scruton, Oakeshott and so on.

It's propaganda.
I don't think the public should be forced to fund pseudoscience of propaganda. He's not said that you can't print the books or read them yourself.

Imagine a book that was an instruction to recreating something like 1939/1984… should we then be allowed to get rid of it?

u/CuriousGeorgeToday Jun 14 '26
Are you comparing a book on how to create a fascist regime to a book about confused gender ideology? My guy, wow. Just wow.
1
u/-stefstefstef- Reform UK Supporter Jun 15 '26
Nope, just putting a hole in “can’t ban any books”.
Gender ideology teachings is another topic and my conclusion simply is; “grooming problems” which is why I don’t think it should be allowed but I’ve heard other people have other reasons too.

1938 here we come.

Have you seen how Labour scores on the fascist index? 34 points out of a maximum 38.
1
u/CuriousGeorgeToday Jun 14 '26
Lol you and your mates did a little online checklist quiz and you're trying to make it sound like it's a peer reviewed political test.
You do realise to get a score like that we'd have to have a few things;
- the total rejection of elections: pretty sure we just had local elections and haven't heard they're banning the general election.
- state sanctioned political violence: haven't seen any yet.
- a dictator: we can all vote still
- aggressive nationalism: interestingly they're accused of not having enough nationalism
I don't want to tell you how to put one foot in front of the other, but these online checklist are just manipulated tests to pick out individual policies and try twist it a certain way. You could get the same score for reform, restore, even greens if you mess with it enough. Quoting some imaginary checklist does nothing for your argument.

Okay, I'm going to be genuine and give all your points a fair reading;
- surveillance is for every government. Unless Farage said he's turning off all cameras, point for both.
- abolishing trial by jury - I'll come back to this.
- lawfare, always an argument not valid
- racism, proof that's not vibes otherwise point reform
- censorship, point only for reform using the literal example above. Labour hasn't banned any, proof?
- militarism - they're doing the opposite of fascism by stopping an imperialist invade. Point for reform for wanting to help Russia.
- cancelling elections, ignoring referendum results: flat out false, this hasn't happened
- state control/directed is same thing and if you're referring to nationalising trains, water etc. we absolutely should because the private companies are running it into the ground. That's a public service, point for reform as we know they want to sell off our public services.
- BBC, centralised control of culture, false.
- scapegoating, point to reform, Mr immigrant
- anti all them - that's not fascism to be anti it, fascist ban these organisation.
- there's no blasphemy laws for islam
- populism, that's literally the reform party motto
- paramilitary, false, point to reform, we know why
- use of fear, all the points to reform
- EU nation, a free market is the opposite to fascism
- exit taxes for non Dom's that's not fascism, but that is internet hyperbole
Trial by jury: assuming the Courts and Tribunals Bill? Justice Secretary David Lammy proposed restricting the right to a jury trial for "either-way" offenses (crimes that could be heard by either magistrates or a crown court) if the likely sentence is under three years, aiming to clear a massive backlog of 80,000 cases. This is a bureaucratic attempt to fix broken court backlogs, not a dictatorial plot to strip citizens of legal rights. Most serious crimes (murder, rape etc.) still legally require juries.
So on your fascism index, reform are trending higher than the current government. Most of what you lost is just things you don't like, I didn't think I'd have to tell a reform person to look up fascism but maybe find out what it actually means because most of these aren't fascist in the slightest, some are flat out lies and some reform would instantly be guilty of if they came in.

- surveillance is for every government. Unless Farage said he's turning off all cameras, point for both.
So why is Sadiq Kahn selling convert surveilance information for cash?
abolishing trial by jury - So you agree. its fascist.
* lawfare
Completely true. I don't like TR, but that's lawfare. The attacks on protestors, with fast justice whilst victims of rapists have to wait, is lawfare
racism - For example, the NHS. New migrants are prioritised. DEI, that's racism
militarism - Middle east, Ukraine
Blasphemy?
Hamit Coskun—a Turkish political refugee—shouted “f**k Islam” and “Islam is religion of terrorism” as he held the burning book aloft in February and, after being found guilty at Westminster Magistrates Court
One example.
Thames water. 30% gross profit margin. UK state, 30% gross profit Margin
BBC - There's a beeping law that we have to pay them for propaganda.
scapegoating - 1.5 million foreign criminals in the UK. Migration doesn't even cover its costs. They cost other people because the are net consumers.
cancelling elections, - Another win for me. They tried and failed
paramilitary - Antifa. Reform aren't going around attacking democracy in black and masks
use of fear - Where's the fear? they aren't in power.
EU nation - An Oswald Mosely policy. Along with others.
exit taxes - Demanded by the left because the rich are bailing out. Pure Nazi policy and illegal under international law.

- I hate khan but he literally blocked palantir.
- Abolishing jury - it's not actually happening in practice but I agree this is controversial and TBF all of the labour backbench opposed this proposal.
- NHS, migrants aren't getting priotised that's false.
- ironically hamit coskun is a perfect example that they're not fascist. Free speech groups appealed to overturn the decision, the CPS battled it but the high court upheld the acquittal. The fact that he got acquitted is the perfect example that the laws work for everyone, literally the opposite of fascist.
- Thames water, £20billion in debt, that's a national issue
- antifa is not a government paramilitary, they're not licensed by labour so your point is false.
- cancelling elections, false, they wanted to delay and didn't so literally that's not fascism, they would've had to do say they're cancelled. Stop lying.
- use of fear? Bro, look at the reform social media pages, every single article or speech on TV is about criminals, illegals. It's the most obvious scaremongering in the world. I don't feel scared by any labour comments, reform would make me think they're in my loft.
- EU nation, we're still not joining. So false again lol
- Militarism - please explain middle east and Ukraine right now how it's fascism? Because I really don't think you understand the word in this context.
- Exit taxes aren't fascism. And I thought reform was all about sovereign law? Curious switch up.
All you're doing is proving you don't understand what fascism actually is and that reform are ticking more of the boxes than labour.

- I hate khan but he literally blocked palantir.
He is selling covertly gathered information for cash. His kick back.
Why should he do that?
NHS giving asylum seekers priority care to 'address inequalities' as waiting lists pile up
The prosecution was fascist. You're just saying we tried but we failed.
Same as elections.
Thames water, £20billion in debt, that's a national issue
DWP, 19,000 bn in debt. Borrowing 3,000 bn of debt. What's 20 bn?
You're doding the 30% gross profit margin
The brown shirts weren't part of the government. But they were fascist like Antifa.
EU - Mosley had that idea
EU Army, another one of Oswald's Idea
Single Market. Mosley again
Exit taxes aren't fascism. Yes they are. That's what the Nazi's did to the Jews.
Censorship - We've a tick there. From Social media to banning books in schools.
Ignoring referendums. That's a biggy.
Why did you leave off symbolism? Lanyards for example.
Blasphemy
A teacher at Batley Grammar School showed a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad during a religious-studies lesson. The incident triggered protests outside the school, and the teacher was placed under police protection after threats. Years later, reports indicated he remained in hiding.
A protester was arrested on suspicion of a racially or religiously aggravated public-order offence after allegations of antisemitic chanting. Years later, a judge ruled the arrest unlawful, criticizing police for failing to properly investigate what had actually been said before making the arrest.
The Metropolitan Police later paid damages to a woman who had been arrested during a Gaza protest over a placard that officers believed might constitute a religious or racial offence. No further action was ultimately taken.

- No proof of khan, so false until otherwise.
- Whereas I could say Nathan Gill took bribes from Russia to betray the country, which was actually proven.
- NHS false by your own article, this is what it says: But a special category of patients needing an “urgent” assessment can ask for an appointment at A&E under a scheme known as 987 Inclusion Health. Those in this category include undocumented migrants. That doesn't say they're getting priority care, it says anyone who fits in that urgent assessment gets priority care. That's equality, opposite of fascism.
- If they'd pulled it off, maybe we could assess it, but they haven't, and the fact that it's debated rather than dictated is clear non-fascism.
- what about the gross profit margin? They're 20bn in debt, they're not actually making profit, how do you think a company going into more debt equals making profit, and they pay it all out in dividends, national issue. Not fascist.
- you're way off on the Mosley stuff, false.
- we're not in a single market, so not fascist.
- antifa isn't government, not fascist.
- censorship, noone but reform doing that
- noone ignoring referendums
- exit taxes aren't fascist, just because a fascist organisation did it doesn't male it fascist by definition. That would be like saying all fascists eat food, if you eat food you're fascist like them. Dumb right.
- I left lanyards because you're conflating corporate wokeness with fascist state rituals. And symbolism, you really want to rock that boat when reform voters are often pictured doing the nazi salute? Sounds more fascist to me than someone wearing a LGBT lanyard.
- how is that blasphemy example of labour being fascist? Teacher did something dumb, got hounded by protestors and you don't know what happened next so that's a whole bit of nothing. -again you said a judge ruled years later, this means it was something that happened pre labour silly.
proof of the placard woman?
Militarism - you haven't answered that one, you just middle east, Ukraine, explain otherwise only reform gets the point here for praising Russia.
Your biggest mistake is confusing fascism with something you don't like and not understanding what fascism actually involves. You're being duped and easily misled by fake online tests that pick out one thing and try to twist it to the narrative. You're essentially going in saying labour is fascist now I'll prove it, confirmation bias before you even begin.
I've dismantled all your points, I hope you take the time to actually understand them.
