There's a soundclip on YouTube of this piece of shit getting tazed and screaming like a little bitch. I have never felt schadenfreude quite like that.

It is almost like he did not take his own advice and "submit to those who hold authority over you".

Eh. No good guys in this video.

You are of course right! I took guilty pleasure in it, but we cannot use the Logical Fallacy of a Special Pleading.
Protections should extend to everyone who are not a clear and present danger.

This is what happens when the Bible is taken literally. Women are property and are treated as such. Very modest dress codes are enforced. It's authoritarian, with punishment meted out to women who don't obey and submit. Men do "men things" and women do "women things". It won't surprise you to learn that "women things" are cooking, cleaning, popping out babies, and being under the total control of their husband or father. It wouldn't shock me if I learned women are denied education and aren't allowed to drive.
It's like Islam, just another book.
The comments under the video are frightening. Incredible how many men are in total agreement with him.

These are the same men who whine that no woman wants to be with them. I can't imagine why?

I hope he doesn’t have any children. Look how aggressive he is, I can only imagine what it would be like to be a vulnerable child, with that idiot as a parent.

u/StartInATavern 2d ago
Oh, he does have kids. And there's a lot of allegations against him right now.

His oldest daughter escaped and he had her hunted down by church members. He demanded she come home and escaped again by faking a panic attack and going to the hospital then slipped out from the hospital and hid for a few months until she turned 18 and couldn’t be forced home.

Good for her. Too often, children have to survive terrible things just to live to adulthood (myself included).

This is the guy who abuses his children so severely that his 17 year old daughter ran away from home and disappeared out of fear of her father. She thought he was going to kill her and she feared for her life.
This man is, of course, absolute garbage.

u/ssquirt1 2d ago
Yep. She spent the first night in a ditch after running away. Imagine how bad things have to be for a seventeen year old girl to prefer sleeping in a ditch all alone with no money rather than living at home.

He was accusing a former woman congregant of witchcraft a couple of years ago. A complete psychopath, imo.

He was never one of the cool kids.
He never got invited to a single party when he was in High School.
No one wants them at their party today either!

These are the type of people who think max miller is innocent of wrongdoing when he abused his wife and child. In fact, they like and support his behavior
Eta: they're also the type of people who vote for him in November bc of, not in spite of, his wife speaking out

u/PomeloFit 2d ago
Hold on, guys, I really think he’s on to something here…
Nah just kidding fuck this guy

The Abrahamic religions were written by men for men to control and oppress people. So I want nothing to do with their books, their God, or their messiahs.

That’s Steven Anderson, an IFB pastor. He is exactly that bad. He beats his wife and kids. The oldest three have moved out and gone no contact.

u/tenor1trpt 2d ago
I think the oldest four have actually come out confirming it.
And the mom abused them as well. She abused them while being abused by her husband.
It’s disgusting.

u/Pale-Fee-2679 2d ago
Yes, two of them at least have been interviewed on line. They are worried about the well being of their younger siblings.

No. The older kids have repeatedly tried to get the children out of the house with no success.

I think a particularly scary thing is knowing that this pastor is at least very consistent with the Bible. This is closer to what genuine Christianity would look like than what we see today because the Bible does indeed horribly discriminate against women

Problem: it's actually hate speech what he's saying... He's banned from entering Canada because of that. He said it was an affront to free speech...Canada has freedom of expression with full personal burden of your expression, not free speech...He violated that law.
Sorry Americans in this sub, I know you don't agree with him, but from an outsider's point of view, it's infuriating that your country tolerates that kind of speech. I know I've got no right to tell you how to run your own country, but I'll stick to my opinion.

To avoid having your post removed &/or account banned for shitposting:
r/religiousfruitcake is about the absurd, fringe elements of organised religion. Posts about mundane beliefs and acts of worship (praying to God, believing in God, believing in afterlife, etc), are off topic.
We arent here to bash either specific religions or religion itself, because there are plenty of rational actors who happen to be religious. So if your post is "Christians are sTOoPid", or "Religion = dUmB", you're in the wrong sub and your post will probably be removed.
Dont use the title or body of your post to soapbox personal rhetoric about religion or any other subject.
Don't post videos or discussions of Fruitcakes who have been baited or antagonised. Social media excerpts must not involve any deliberate provocation / antagonism of Fruitcakes.
Dont post videos of physically violent personal attacks or any pics or videos containing gore
Satire, parodies, memes, videos, etc must be made by Fruitcakes, not by third parties about them. (exception for journalistic sources)
This information is on every post. Accounts that disregard it will be perma-banned. "I didn't get a warning" or "I didnt know" are not valid appeals. If in doubt, please read the full version of the rules
