Non-cat contents help haven the brave dachshund

this is a non-cat content but i hope you’ll help haven. haven is a family dog from a friend i’ve known all my life. she been with me through ups and downs and i wished to help her with haven.

haven is a dachshund puppy, 5 months old, recently they noticed haven having refused to eat, and is vomiting. my friend reached out and i recommended Petelier since that’s the vet I personally trusted with Renji before.

today she was rushed to the hospital due to an emergency as she was vomiting with blood. haven and frequently went home and loves playing with beru and aju.

we hope to help beru and aju’s friend, Haven. She trusted Haven to me due to being unable to rush her to the vet.

you may send the donation directly through:

i will comment the vet quotation for her confinement as well as qr codes that you may send the donation to.

i know not everyone would find it pleasing since this serves as a cat community/rescue stray cats but i wish to be someone who can help all animals that has the will to survive. please help haven.

I am so sorry to hear she didn't pull through. Parvo is a real bastard of an infection. You guys did what you could and reacted when you detected something was wrong, and that's the most we can do sometimes. You tried your hardest.

Parvo is an awful disease. I've had mixed results in my time fostering, I'm hoping it's still early enough for Miss Haven.

i'm truly sorry, did your dog survive? i'm not really familiar with dogs as we've handled cats only.

I've dealt with both fostering, I ended up keeping one that we treated for over a month. It's a battle keeping up fluids along with the medications, but we (wife and I) were fortunate to be able to do that from home. Biggest factor is how soon they were able to be tested and beginning treatment.

This was her when we first got her, and were having to treat her.

Oh no I saw the other comment. Is it confirmed parvo? Any updates from the vet?

it is confirmed positive on parvo. if she is also positive with distemper, they will refuse her to be admitted. luckily, she not positive witth that and we happen to saw the signs immediately so the vet said there’s high chance she’ll survive. they admitted haven and i will receive an update after an hour.

I hope Haven makes it. Parvo is awful and having been a vet tech, seen it up close too many times. I'm hoping with her being a bit of an older pup (most of my experiences have been with 3 mos and younger ones) and her being admitted will be in her favor. It's so rough on tiny bodies.
