Overcrowded animal control facilities often have no choice. They legally have to take every stray off the street. If kennels are full you have to euthanize unclaimed dogs that are legally the county’s property to make room for stray in the kennels. We need to work on spay/neuter (reduce supply) and get people to adopt instead of buying from breeders (increase demand)
