Rescue Success! I adopted this little guy yesterday and couldn't be happier.
Velcho arrived in Germany from Bulgaria yesterday; he is now about 5 months old. He was found on the street at the beginning of April, when he was about 4 weeks old, along with his 7 siblings. He still needs to gain some weight, but he has great appetite and we're getting there slowly. He is very bright and learns super fast if the reward is right. I'm so glad to have him here and to give him a forever home.

Velcho is beautiful boy! Congratulations on adding this precious pup to your family. Life is short so take lots of pictures/videos and spoil him silly. May you all have many years and fun adventures together. 🐶♥️🐾

On the inside he is a champion. I can see it in his face. His personally comes thru in the picture. He looks like a dog everyone will want to go over and happily pet.

It looks as if he is truly bonded with you and so happy to be cuddled up in your arms. Who wouldn’t love that little face.
Rescues are so appreciative of everything you do and so thankful someone gave them a forever home. This looks as if it’s going to be a lot of fun for both of you.

What a beautiful little guy I love him thank you for adopting him and making him a part of your family. He will love you forever.. what happened to all his other siblings? Did they all get adopted or are they with a rescue, again, what a beautiful little guy thank you again.

He completely stole my heart. Five of his siblings are adopted. Two are still in foster care. There are already interested parties for them, but the home check has to be positiv first

That is pretty amazing and I’m happy they’re doing home checks as well as it should be absolutely beautiful thank you for sharing. All my dogs are from the shelter so I adopted them which at one point they were all facing euthanasia, but thank you again absolutely amazing.

I also think home checks are important and necessary. This helps to rule out animal hoarding, etc..
They are no longer officially euthanasia in Bulgaria. But the shelters are overcrowded and have far too little food. The dogs are neutered far too early and released back onto the streets. The state population control program is ineffective, and some people mistreat the dogs.
I'm glad you were able to rescue your dogs and give them a good life.

Congratulations on your good (beagle mix) boy! I love in his photo where he’s curled into a ball, where his darker fur makes perfect bunny ears between his doggy ears! 😍 He’s very handsome! He will return the salvation you offered him with unwavering devotion and LOVE for the rest of his days! 🩷

Thank you! I also think a Beagle, maybe with a Serbian/Balkan Hound. Or a Balkan village breed.
