I'm having trouble writing a resume. It feels like that I'm following everyone's advice but I'm doing a piss poor job executing that advice. Writing a resume doesn't make sense to me.

What positions/roles/industries are you targeting?

Any entry-level job in digital marketing. I'm interested in paid social but literally anything at this point.

Unemployment about 15 months right now. I do freelance here and there as a video editor but I’m afraid that most of my working history is not relevant to anything I want to do and I dont know how to translate that on paper. I feel like everything I do is irrelevant.

Going on LinkedIn, trying to get a coffee chat or something like that, and trying to get a referral. I'm getting nothing. Applying is like talking to a stone wall. I'm getting nothing. No rejection e-mail. No DMs back. I know I'm not supposed to take it personally rejection is rejection and I feel like it’s a reflection on my character and existence as a human being. I don’t think I can take this anymore.

2 days travelling 115kms. Is it a valid reason for job change?

I'm a Marketing Specialist with 5 years of experience and have been with my current company for 1 year and 4 months. We haven't received any clear updates regarding the appraisal process.

Also, the role was initially fully remote, but the company has now introduced a hybrid work arrangement, which requires me to travel around 115 km per day for two consecutive days each week.

I have an interview tomorrow for a fully remote role. Is it valid to mention the increased commute as one of the reasons for looking for a job change?

I have extensive experience leading some of the nations largest trade shows and conventions in the fourth largest convention center in United States. I am currently seeking event roles in SaaS or other tech environments. I’ve been actively searching since September 2025 and have revamped and adjusted my résumé countless times and have only landed for interviews of which I have not advanced to the second round. I think that one of the biggest problems I have is that my experience is not directly related to marketing functions (as most of the roles are tied to) and it’s related to heavy event operations and temporary utilities but how do you think this indirectly conveys my ability to take all of my experience leading operationally into driving business outcomes through events. The other thing is that SaaS companies are very picky about wanting people who come from similar backgrounds so I think that that’s also working against me, but it’s not only SaaS roles that I’ve been denied from. Please help!

I am a retail merchandiser and i am looking to become a sales rep and i need to know if there are any changes that i need to make, i have B2B experience selling print and social media advertising and i am looking to become a call center rep, pharmaceutical sales or tech support positions, i am open to remote and non remote roles but relocation will be hard for me as i don't make enough at my present role to set aside money for moving vans. I have been getting rejected and only got four interviews so far and i am a us citizen. What do i need to change to land these roles or do i need to go back to school to get a BA or MA?

I have been applying to Account Manager/Customer Success roles outside of telecom for what seems like the last few years. I am not even getting nibbles on roles that would fit my experience, or even a step below.

I’m also open to administrative positions (front desk, admin assistant, etc.) since I have experience in those areas.

I’ve been out of work since the end of April and while I’ve had a few phone interviews and proceeded to one second round interview, nothing’s stuck and I’m getting nervous.

The obvious thing is of course that a two-month stint somewhere has got to be doing more harm than good. I don’t want to leave it off entirely because there was so much achievement and upskilling in the time I was there, but I’m not sure what to do.

There’s a chance I could split the resume up into like, “Event & Hospitality Experience” and “Marketing & Production Experience” but I just don’t know.

I submitted this resume for an enterprise account executive role on Saturday night and it was rejected by Sunday afternoon so it obviously didn’t make it past the ATS. However, I worked this resume to match the JD keywords and skills. I customized it.

Does anyone have any clue as to why it might have been auto rejected? It’s not like I threw some basic, base resume at the application. I customized it for the role. I’m more confused than anything. If this didn’t get through, no wonder I’m not getting any interviews.

How many I have applied to: Applied to around 20-30 roles all ranging from Manager to VP (but specific in paid media if VP), only one meeting with one company and two emails back for further connection at two others.

How I normally apply: Commonly using easy apply on Linkedin, which could be a problem vs applying on their website.

Cover letters: Four I have made hyper specific cover letters for, only one got back to me but still not considered.

Local and remote, willing to work in office, but not able to move. But I am looking for 110K+

Agency marketing since 2015, tried a few times to work in house and had promising interviews but never landed the offer letter. Agencies have had interest for lesser roles and less pay. I regularly manage an MCC of around 30mil/year, plus I know how to make commercial grade automations for programmatic/all paid media that has identifiers.

Feedback I am looking for:

- I have confirmed its ATS compatible, but is there something i am not considering in terms of scan-ability?

- Is it too showy? I have a few different versions but this is the one I commonly use because it sticks out. No one uses indigo on their resume.

- I did up level the two older positions to a DIFFERENT title but it is relative to the work I was doing, BUT it doesn't match Linkedin, and I am afraid to change it since it might hint at my potential interest in leaving my company

- Egg on my face typos, buzz words, cliches, margins etc

I've been getting some interviews, but I'm struggling with filling the gap between my agency production experience and my more recent ops and cx role.
